Where is the Best Hair Straightening in Portland, Oregon?
I had Stacey at afterglow do my hair and makeup for my wedding in November and it turned out wonderful. She even was willing to travel clear to Seattle, where our location was, to be on site the morning of my big day. I have been getting my hair done with her since she moved here in october, and I was so happy to have such a skilled and reliable stylist there for me. Everything turned out great and the test trials for hair and makeup were completely free making the whole thing really reasonable. I had previously tried out different types of makeup at makeup counters and kept ending up not looking at all like myself or having extremely smokey eyes, which was not what I wanted for my wedding. It was a relief to hear that my stylist had done wedding makeup before in California and was able to give me a lovely natural look that turned out great in pictures. The only place I will go to in the northwest…! I absolutely trust Josh’s judgment and his knowledge. Kind, gentle and fun – he listens to your ‘wants’ and ‘concerns’ while offering suggestions. This man has a lot of talent – he knows what he is talking about and doing. Believe me – he knows color and how to work with all types of hair. I’ve been to my share of salon’s where I’m treated like a $… Stacking up clients while my color is processing, interrupting a cut to trim someone’s bangs, or yacking on the phone while styling my hair. No concern about my time or me or their work. You won’t find this at Dezi, you won’t find this while in Josh’s care. In addition to Josh’s talent and care as a hair stylist – they have the best operation’s manager you’ll ever meet. Dan is exceptional… The salon is run well, always clean, decorated tastefully, and again, Dan will take care of you and make you feel very special.I realize this review sounds like a sales pitch – well…
I went to Belle Epoque in search of a new salon because I wasn’t very happy with my current stylist. Marisa took me as a walk-in client and was very welcoming. Marisa did a very in-depth consultation with me before she even touched my hair so she knew exactly what I wanted done with it. I was tired of having the yellow/brass type blonde and that always seemed to be what I got from other places. This blonde turned out to be a golden more natural blonde (similar to the highlights you’d get after being in the sun). I’m so happy to have found a new stylist in Marisa. I highly recommend her! She listens closely to what you want while also giving input on what she things, is very cool, funny and makes you feel relaxed and at ease when you’re in her chair. Definitely give her a shot – you won’t be disappointed. Pros + Very cute salon, beautiful hair color, friendly stylists, great location, clean place, good pricing!Cons – None!
I never write reviews but I was surprised that no one has ever written a review mentioning Man so I decided to write one now..I’ve been coming to Poshe Salon since they have opened(almost 5 years now) and Man (pronounced mON) was the very first person I was scheduled with and eversince then.. I never tried anyone else. I get everything done by Man; nails and waxing (eyebrows, underarms, bikini.. the whole shabang). Let me tell you.. it is HARD finding the right place to get nails/waxing done. I’m asian so my eyebrows grow differently than others and if you don’t have the right experience with waxing asian eyebrows then it turns out pretty bad. The nails ALWAYS turn outs out great, most of the time I see people who get their nails done at other places.. turn out to look tacky.Besides having nails/waxing done by Man, I come to Tony for hair cuts/bang trims.
