Where is the Best Hair Salon in New York, New York?
I have been suffering from female pattern hair loss and severe case of alopecia for the past eight years, and in the last couple of years it has become very serious and devastating problem. I was at the point of not going out in the sun and wearing a headband to prevent the front of my hair from flying about and revealing the baldness underneath. She recognizes how heavily hair loss can affect women, which is why she provides exemplary care and results for women experiencing hair loss at any stage. I had a thinning hair problem. Lately my scalp became very dry and itchy and I was losing more and more hair every day. However as time progressed, I was diagnosed with alopecia.I came across NYC Hair Salon and decided to give a try. I have since grown most of my hair back and have not experienced any side effects. I can truly say that NYC Hair Salon have produced tangible results. Now after 3 months my hair looks alive, the itching has totally gone and hair fall has reduced significantly
I gave it an extra star because of the free apple. I had a manicure scheduled with Alexandra and not only did they forget about me, I sat there for an hour and a half and no one asked me if I needed anything. Ultimately they made me leave without my manicure because Alex was already booked!!!!!!!!! I told them unless I get a gift certificate for a free manicure next time I could not come back, They said no, but they could give me a free bottle of Hair Shine worth about 10 bucks…gimme a break.Pros + in BendelsCons – too expensive neighborhood for service given
I’ve been going to Ted Gibson for about a year now. The first time I heard of the salon was because I’d heard Ted was the hairstylist to Angelina Jolie, but I was sort of intimidated because I imagined it would snotty or pretentious — not the case at all!The salon itself is quite small and intimate, and the decor is modern, yet warm. You are greeted immediately when you get out of the elevator, and Ted and Jason can often be seen in the salon when they aren’t travelling. (Jason has a large station set up in the center of the salon.) They also offer a wide variety of beverages and hand and scalp massages. From a skill perspective, this team rocks! I see Liam for my cuts, and Jose for my color. Liam is always vibrant and has a very fun-loving personality. He spends time tailoring your haircut to your lifestyle and physical features so you get something that complements you perfectly. Jose is very matter-of-fact, and a perfectionist (which I appreciate!) He is a highlighting
I really like Susana! She is an AMAZING color specialist. I will continue going to her always. Her energy is amazing and she always delivers a complete haircolor, no rush, with conditioning. I never feel like they have overbooked her and I never wait. However, there can sometimes be a bad vibe in the rest of the place.you get to see them while your hair is cookin’ A little bitchy at times, and stressful…Glad to be in the back room most of the time with Susana and having personal space! I don’t understand the extreme hype. Honestly, I think some of the citysearch reviews are written by management.Pros + EXCELLENT haircolor by Susana…Cons – owners hover a bit too much over their staff
Long, thick and frizzy unmanageable hair.. I’m the perfect candidate for Japanese hair straightening (aka Thermal Reconditioning ). My first time was Salon Mai, midtown on 55th street. The first time was remarkable: silky hair, easy to maintain: a dream come true. The second and third times not so great. My hair was more brittle and dry. The first Japanese stylist was long gone and replaced by much younger and noticeably less experienced staff. Finally they closed last year and I was wondering where to turn for my next treatment. A friend, regular customer of Morgan’s salon, told me that Eric was specialized in Thermal Reconditioning… so off I went. The result was AWESOME! Eric blew my prior experiences away. I barely saw the time (5 hours) go by because we had such a nice time….the salon is really friendly. The result was the most beautiful straight silky hair ever. He uses the top of the line Liscio products (from Japan I believe) and follows up with strong recommendations on pr
