Where is the Best Hair Salon in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
In need of a facial or maybe just a revamp on your make-up. Maybe your still doing your 90’s eyeliner, and need someone to teach you the new styles….Nellie is one! I have had the luxury of having many facial and it’s always out of this world! She makes you feel like a Queen and you forget where you are! IT’S THAT GOOD:) This is my one and only addiction!! So treat yourself to a full day of beauty (hair with Heidi and a facial with Nellie)and I promise you girls/guys will be Thanking me later! Another thing I just want to throw out there, is I had Nellie teach my daughter how to wear her make-up. I couldn’t handle the teenage “let me use the whole pencil around my eyes” look anymore but she wasn’t going to listen TO HER MOM, so I sent her to Nellie. I will tell you!! I chose this salon to do my hair for my wedding because my fiance had given me a gift certificate to Sanctuary for Christmas. It is a very nice salon, and for the most part I was happy with my hair trial a week before my wedding. SO…the day of my wedding I had a 4:00 p.m. appointment (evening wedding) and I go to the reception desk to check in, and the girl told me that I had CANCELLED my appointment and rescheduled for the following WEDNESDAY. Of course I had done no such thing. Why would I do that? It didn’t help that the girl at the front desk was rude and arrogant and completely unhelpful. Luckily the person who my stylist was “supposed” to see at that time (because they had booked her with someone else) hadn’t shown up yet, so I got in, but I was completely unimpressed with that whole experience. When I finally got in I asked my stylist what happened and she said that she had noticed on her schedule that they had switched me to Wednesday and she thought that was “weird.” Yeah,
It’s only fair to first admit that after reading the reviews for Tres Jolie, my expectations for the salon were probably bordering unachievable. Little did Bryce know that the skepticism was high when I sat in his chair Saturday morning. After a thoughtful consultation about my lifestyle and how it impacts my hair and what I need my hair to do, Bryce delivered a masterful cut that took into consideration my facial structure, hair thickness and texture. After leaving the salon I reflected back realizing that not only was he extremely thorough in providing me all the insight and education I wanted, he had also managed to make a strong personal connection with me. I had a rare opportunity with some time to myself and really needed a spa experience. I don’t like Aveda products (they dry out my skin and hair) so it’s hard to find places in Minneapolis to go. Haven was perfect!The space is open and airy in an Uptown Loft. I had booked a package. It started with a pedicure. The esthetician, Tammy Boots, was sweet and funny. While I soaked my feet she brought me a cup of hot chocolate – perfect for the very cold winter day. The pedicure was relaxing and she spent a lot of time massaging my feet and legs.Next we went into a private room for a facial and massage. Tammy suggested that we combine the two, which would allow the face masks to have more time to penetrate. She also gave me a brow wax, which went quickly and smoothly. The massage was fantastic. She really worked out some of my knots and I feel so much better. On some parts she used hot stones to really work in the relaxing heat.Best of all was the facial. Haven uses Dr.
The ratings for this salon are justified, particularly in regards to coloring. I look and feel like a new person, it is always amazing how much a good color and cut can enhance one’s appearance. I love having great hair and I have received that each of the three times I have been to Bleach; I cannot say that about some of the other highly rated salons in the cities to which I have been. I also loved the cute little chunk of colored extensions they put in last time I was in. They are so fun and inexpensive. I do think it is a little strange that my stylist has to stop working on me to answer the phone and the painting on the wall is not so cute, but the girls who work there certainly are and the work they do is fabulous.
