Where is the Best Hair Salon in Columbus, Ohio?
AKADA is the epitome of high quality and fabulous customer service. In the eight years I’ve gone to the salon, I’ve gotten to know the owner and the stylists quite well. They are true experts, extremely knowledgeable, very creative, and always attentive to customer needs. The salon is small, which allows for very personalized treatment. All the stylists work with you to assess your wishes and needs and to design an approach especially for you. My hair is next to impossible — curly and thick in summer, flat and fly-away in winter. Nobody has ever been able to cut it consistently. AKADA is willing to do two totally different haircuts for me to fit the season, and they cheerfully put up with the three awkward months a year of transition from one season to the other. I had high expectations after reading the reviews but now I feel nothing but anger and depression because I look worse than before! I should not even have gone there at all! The ironic thing is that it was a Senior Director who cut my hair. I’ve had many better cuts than this for a lower price and from people with less experience. She did not explain to me about the new style she did for me and certainly did not tell me that I needed to use hairspray for the style (which I dislike). I kept telling her I don’t like it this way and she kept insisting that it looks fine. When I came out, my friends did not even say a word about my hair meaning that they were embarrased to admit that it looks horrible. I am now very mad and will never ever return there.
I just wanted to write in response to the single mom’s post. I am the receptionist at Gina’s. Children, of course, are more than welcome in our salon. We love and appreciate kids. Her child was not well behaved. Once the haircut started, her child was rolling all over the floor in our only walk way to get to the back of the salon. Gina then politely said something to the mother because she was concerned for him rolling around with no shoes or socks on where there was a bunch of hair. That didn’t help. He dumped a full box of crayons on the floor (again in our only walkway) right behind the mother. She did not ask him to pick them up and just left them sit. Another stylist and I had to pick up the crayons at least 6 different times during the cut. Our salon is very small and the stylists around her had to constantly entertain her child or work around him in some way while cutting. We were very busy this particular Saturday and it was extremely hard on the stylists and myself to have to
I had been given an excellent reference for Mario Triccoci’s salon from a good friend of mine so I had nothing but high expectations. My friend praised the place and hair dresser so much I really was looking forward to a beautiful haircut. Unfortunately, the service was average and the hair stylist cut too much off my hair and did not go out of her way to make sure I was happy with my hairstyle. I have been to many salons in the past and I was far from impressed by the lack of performance and skill from this Easton salon. I expected to be dazzled by this reputable salon but unfortunately I was left feeling disappointed.
