Where is the Best Hair Salon in Baltimore, Maryland?
I have been staggering around trying to find “the best place” for me and my difficult hair. Well, look no further, Karen at East Bank Hair has done a fantastic job and also took me from 90% grey to a wonderful shade of vibrant, shiny auburn. I feel great and am told I look 10-15 years younger. Scott, the owner and a stylist as well has a lovely shop that just feels warm and friendly when you enter. The atmosphere is great, a wonderful staff and receptionist/shampooers are there at your beck and call. They offer coffee and tea while you have yourself taken care of by a very professional staff. East Bank is top rate in my book, try it you will agree, I am sure. Pros + Great sylists, Jackie, at the desk (great shampooer!!) is wonderful and makes you feel at home.Cons – there just aren’t any – that I have found
As anyone knows finding a great stylist is like winning mega millions. To find an amazing stylist, who is local is like a powerball win..with you holding the only winning numbers! Steve at Bubbles of White Marsh is that “Powerball Win!” After my previous stylist left Maryland suddenly my search was on for his replacement. One day I saw a woman leaving Bubbles White Marsh with a very cute cut..but what was more important was that you could tell by the way she walked she loved her hair. I asked “Who did your hair?” Her reply “Steve, he’s awesome!” Mental note to self, remember that name. Still I waited until “Baltimore” magazine came out with their “Top Salon” issue. After reading it I went with my gut and booked my appointment with Steve. (This will probably be the best move I make in all 2010!) When I first arrived at my appointment Steve did not even flinch over the condition of my hair or even the color that I had gotten out of a box and done myself. He had such positive energy a
I’m sort of neurotic about my hair. And I know I’m hard to please. I went to Neal for a body wave perm just to try it out. Not many people know how to perm Asian hair with non-traditional style and so far none of the stylists I encountered gave me the hair I wanted. First of all, Neal is a sweetheart, so the experience was quite fun. As for the perm he gave me, well as usual I thought it was too curly, because all I wanted was loose waves. But he reassured me that I would be happy after a few weeks. And Voila, it’s been three weeks and I love the loose waves my hair has now, granted I did have to deep condition my hair constantly after the perm. But it does look good now. Plus Neal gave me two Josephine Baker CDs which I absolutely adore. Now how many stylists out there would give you music to bring home? The price wasn’t bad either, it was actually the least pricy perm I’ve gotten in years. I highly recommend Neals. I can’t wait to go back to get a trim in a couple mont
I started working at RA at the beginning of summer 2009. With employment came employee discounts, and I immediately became a color fiend. However, in the fall when I had to go back to school, employee discounts were not available to me anymore because of my decrease in hours. Although I do not get these discounts anymore, I won’t go anywhere besides RA for my hair. Hilary, a young, bubbly, and talented stylist, has turned me from brown to blonde and back to brown, and I have never for a moment been unhappy with or upset about my hair. My haircuts by her have never been better, and I refuse to see anyone else. Kristin, another young and talented girl, my favorite aestitician, was able to clear up my skin and reccommend products that keep it fresh and clear. I won’t see anyone else for facials or waxing–she shaped my eyebrows perfectly and never disappoints me! As far as nail techs and massage therapists go–I’ve never gotten a better pedicure and had a better conversation with my nail
