Where is the Best Hair Color in Portland, Oregon?
i’d had my hair down to my shoulder blades for the past 13 years. since it was so easy to tie back and go, i stuck with it. lately though i’d felt i was in a rut with it and finally decided that i wanted a change. i was referred to scott kane by a local bicycle fabricator (vanillabicyclesdotcom). over the last two years i’d been searching the magazines for a new and shorter style. but not so short that i’d look like a republican senator from from texas (i live in texas). i also didn’t want anything too trendy. i flew up to portland for a bicycle show in feb. and made an appointment during that same week. i wasn’t as nervous as most might be. scott came highly recommended and i was ready to get it cut. the atmosphere was very nice. it was a great mix of ease and diligence but never frantic or hurried. i’d had many cuts since i grew it out and most weren’t that good. one thinned my hair so much, some people thought i was losing my hair! scott took the time to look
The only place I will go to in the northwest…! I absolutely trust Josh’s judgment and his knowledge. Kind, gentle and fun – he listens to your ‘wants’ and ‘concerns’ while offering suggestions. This man has a lot of talent – he knows what he is talking about and doing. Believe me – he knows color and how to work with all types of hair. I’ve been to my share of salon’s where I’m treated like a $… Stacking up clients while my color is processing, interrupting a cut to trim someone’s bangs, or yacking on the phone while styling my hair. No concern about my time or me or their work. You won’t find this at Dezi, you won’t find this while in Josh’s care. In addition to Josh’s talent and care as a hair stylist – they have the best operation’s manager you’ll ever meet. Dan is exceptional… The salon is run well, always clean, decorated tastefully, and again, Dan will take care of you and make you feel very special.I realize this review sounds like a sales pitch – well…
I recently have had the privilage of having my hair cut and colored by Diane, the owner of this exceptional salon. Josh, who is another stylist has worked with me as well and he gladly showed me how to style my hair and use the products I purchased in the proper manner.The first time I walked into the salon I was greeted with such kindness and understanding and not once did I feel uncomfortable. Communication and honesty is a vital part of the success at Halo Salon. The clients should listen to the professionals and their ideas and if need be compromise is always an option. The staff want you to leave the salon feeling beautiful and content. For those who feel their experience was less than worthy, convey your feelings in a kind manner and Diane will always make sure you are compensated in one form or the other.I feel blessed to have this team give me the time and consideration every client deserves.For the record, when we were finished I walked out of the salon looking like a mill
My search for an incredible and perfect hair stylist is finally over!! Heather is absolutely the answer I have been waiting for. You guys, she is an angel sent from heaven!!!! I have been to way too many hair stylists and salons (seriously, it’s embarrassing to share all the places and people I have been to in order to find Heather) only to be disappointed. All my haircuts in the past have either been terrible, mediocre, or just something that I am not wowed by. You know those people you see walking down the street and you want to just stop and ask them where they get their hair done? Well….thanks to the lovely Heather, I am now one of those people! I have NEVER been one those people until I went to Heather! It’s not only that other people notice my fabulous hair, but I feel like a movie star now. I have fine thin hair and never thought anyone would ever be able to cut it to make it look cute and full of volume. I always had an idea that it could happen if the right person gave it a go. Sarah at 77 did just that. I actually asked the receptionist who did a good job with my hair type and she quickly recomended Sarah. I looked at her profile on 77’s website and it said Sarah was really good with mens hair. Well, fine and thin – that’s me, and men too. It makes sence.My cut cannot be beat and I have people asking me where I got it cut for the first time in my life! Also she was really nice and easy to talk to. I told her what I wanted and she actually did it!!! Ladies and the fellas too can benefit from a visit to this fabulous lady…I am sure she can work wonders on any hair type!Pros + Someone in Portland can cut fine, thin hair!!
