Where is the Best Group Dining in Detroit, Michigan?
I love the food at this place!! The ginger salad dressing you get with the house salad is unvbelievable!! The portions are very big, so plan on bringing some home. I always get the chicken but the steak isnt that bad. I would suggest the brown fried rice over the white- its just fun to watch them make it and it is very tasty!! Tbhe prices are a little pricey compared to other Japenese restaurants but it is entertaining to watch them cook in front of you. Only problem is sometimes I would like not to sit with strangers at my table.Pros + food, service, entertainingCons – strangers sitting with you, prices
If you have been to other REAL Churrascarias you will be greatly dissappointed with this one. The food bar was grossly inadequate, only offering half of the items you normally see. The hot side dishes were only lukewarm and of poor selection (redskin potatoes, sauteed kale and black beans). They served us fried bananas instead of plantains and the breads were no better. To top it all off, the Gauchos had very little knowledge of the meats they were serving and how to slice them. The meats themselves were quite good, the only saving grace of the evening. Also, the desserts were done well, but I do not go to a Churrascaria for dessert! Service was mediocre, which was too bad, since there were only 4 tables in the whole place, including our table of 10.Pros + NoneCons – service, variety, knowledge
I absolutely love this place! THe house dresing on the antipasto is amazing! The portions are giant and the deep dish pizza is to die for. The place is small but what it lacks in square footage it makes up for in taste, portion, speed and friendliness. This is the kind of place you could bring your four crazy three year olds and make it out in one piece. The service is friendly, quick and observant. I never once had to ask for a refill on my beverage, the server just brought another one over. The food was hot, fresh and heaven on a plate. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I’m sure they would thank me for it. Thank you to Louie’s for being an A+ dining experience!Pros + Antipasto Salad, Deep Dish Pizza, ServiceCons – Too far from where I reside 🙂
this is a great little family restaurant that is hidden away in an industrial area of town. very limited tables but this is excellent for quiet discussions with your tablemates. The ambiance is great and the staff are properly trained to service customer but leave enough alone for private conversation.the food is excellent and well proportioned, you will not go home hungry. The wine list is extensive but you will pay for the uniqueness of the bottles. All in all an excellent experience and you will return time and time again. I have been in many family restaurants across the US and this rates at the top of my list for experiences. If you are there with a someone special, it’s a sure bet.Pros + ambience, food and definite romantic diningCons – expensive wine selection but they are very good wines so it is a balance.
