Where is the Best Group Dining in Chicago, Illinois?
On a Saturday, the wait was 2 hours long. The staff was really nice and apologetic about it. Our waitstaff was experienced and knew the menu. The appetizers were decent (tomato and mozzarella, mozzarella marinara). The entrees were delicious (chicken saltimbocca, chicken marsala). The portions were huge and tasted great as leftovers! This is the best Maggianos location in the Chicago area definitely. St. Louis Missouri and Boston Mass have the BEST Italian food—hands down. No kidding. I had been searching the city for GOOD tasty grandmas cookin’ italian in Chicago. Not the fancy schmancy or the “concept” italians that keep popping up all over the place. I happended to stumble upon the restaurant off of open table. Just did a search for affordable and something that looked kid friendly. I wasn’t expecting much. Wow–what an unexpected find. The servers are all very warm and friendly–honestly, like family. The food is exceptional–from the crisp and fresh house salad. You can tell that the owner is VERY particular about his/her produce. They get the best (and in the middle of winter). Just plain yummy. Cafe Iberico is always a great place to go to have good food good drinks and a loud time. They have some of the cheapest tapas around and the food is excellent.
