Where is the Best Group Dining in Chicago, Illinois?
My boyfriend got a $100 gift certificate for his birthday so we thought we’d check it out. We made a res in the crescent room, which was beautiful but sat us very close to other diners…not very intimate. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 drinks, 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine and 1 dessert, all for a total of $117. Quail appetizer was amazing, couscous is best i’ve had in a long time, venison was just ok but tuna and lamb were wonderful. I’d say to skip on the fondu dessert, but the experience was overall wonderful. My only problem was, waiters rush you out. We ate our meal in under 2 hrs, the crescent room only had 2 other couples in it, but the waiter verbally told us other larger parties were waiting. Apart from the pushy waiter, i’d definitely be back again!
I love Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba late night! Parking can be a challenge, but there is valet if you are stuck. Once inside, grab a seat at the bar, order a pitcher of sangria, and start in on some great tapas. I definitely recommend starting with the olives – they work well alongside everything. The scallops are a highlight. Everything is decently priced and great for sharing.
great chinese food in the west loop!its about time we got some great high quality chinese food in the area.jimmy chings wasnt doing it for me.red light is ok. too fusion.dragonfly is really good. i order from them about twice a month and eat there about once a month.i have yet to have bad service like some of the other reviews had. they probably went on a lounge night. but i am a frequent diner and i can vouch that the food and service is great!Pros + Great food and serviceCons – Sometimes out of certain dishes
