Where is the Best Group Dining in Baltimore, Maryland?
I had my first opportunity to visit McCormick & Schmick’s recently and it was a great all around experience. I, every so often, take clients out to dinner and I normally like to try the places out before I do so, but I did not have the chance to do that this time. These gentlemen were from the UK and I decided to go there on some advice of a friend and I made a great decision for myself and for my clients. We thoroughly enjoyed the service, the food, and the atmosphere. Only one comment, and I consider it minor, was that it tended to be very loud during the busy dinner hours, so it was hard sometimes to have an across the table conversation without raising your voice, but we managed just fine.

Horrible service…we witnessed other diners get up and leave because their crabs never arrived in a timely manner (resulting in a heated discussion between a server and manager!). To get our server to refill our drinks, we literally had to place our glasses at the edge of the table since she did not fill them despite being empty for a long time. Other tables nearby were not cleaned for over an hour with half-eaten food sitting on them. When our crabs finally arrived (and they were indeed good) our server told us that the size crabs we ordered was not available so “here these are.” She also was also courteous enough to bring hand wipes well after we headed to the restroom to clean our hands. This happened at lunchtime when the restaurant was almost empty…I’d hate to see what happens when they get busy. All in all, very good crabs but not worth the headache.
I have been going here for years. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is healthy and very, very tasty. My favorite is the garlic pumpkin appetizer. I have been trying to kiss up to the cook for that recipe. It is often difficult to get a seat because it is so popular so I would recommend reservations.Pros + pumpkin appetizer MMMgood :)Cons – very popular restaurant so difficult to get a table
