Where is the Best Gifts and Stationery in Detroit, Michigan?
I send all my clients to Earth Lore for stones, candles, etc. They have a large supply of everything and if they don’t have it, they will order it! Having a bad day? Just walk in, breathe in the scent of the incense, play with the stones and browse through the merchandise and your attitude will change into a positive one. Everybody is friendly and very informative. Nothing like it! ~Kristy RobinettPros + Quiet, Positive Energy, Helpful, Affordable
I was very disappointed in the Rochester store. No owner seemed to ever be there and the only pleasant employee (Lynn), seemed to have left. (Can’t say as I blame her…..the store was never busy). I never heard about their Grand Opening, any sales…….nothing. I would have gladly spent more of my money there….the clothes were unique. Some of the quality was a little below par for the price they were asking and I should know, I spent a small fortune almost every time I went in. I heard through the grapevine they were closing, but again I’m sure I’ll hear nothing from the store. How in the world do you expect to have a good business when you regard your customers as just fly-by tourists? Pros + unique clothingCons – astronomical prices for the quality
I used to shop online for a lot of the lines they carry at Naka, because they’re hard to find and usually are only sold online or in Chicago, New York, etc. The buyer at Naka has an amazing eye and puts together a fantastic selection–some inexpensive and some more high end, but the prices hold up well compared to what’s online and in other stores. They have a site too, I think. I stop in a lot to see what’s new and to drewl over the things I want my husband to buy me for my birthday. Are you reading, honey?Pros + good for gifts, amazing jewelryCons – parking can be tricky (try the lot by Rosie’s)
I sent one of the edible arrangements to a friend who was taking care of my daughter while I was out of town. The whole family loved it! My daughter (a fruit lover) said it was the sweetest and juiciest fruit she had ever tasted. A picture is worth a thousand words, you must see one to understand how they make fruit look like a flower garden. Flowers are nice, but you can’t do anything other than look at them. These arrangements are delicious and can be enjoyed by the whole family, and talk about healthy! I had the opportunity to taste a few pieces from another arragnement and I agree with my daughter – the fruit they use is very high quality. For those on the receiving end, they become pieces of conversation, so your gift will be talked about for quite some time. I give them an A+!Pros + Unique design and gift, high quality fruit, delivery availableCons – As with flowers, it’s not cheap. The arrangement prices are similar to floral gifts.
My order was confirmed online and credit card charged. I noticed after 3 weeks, order did not ship. I called and a rep for the company to remain nameless said the order had gone out for the holidays.ALL ORDERS LEFT THE WAREHOUSE. In January 2009 the website said order shipped. After 3 months, I spoke to one of the receipents and they said they never got my gift. I phoned the store and again, the rep could not even find my order. I had to fax it to her 8 times and finally emailed a copy of my order. The rep said she would send the baskets now 3 months later or a refund, basically now that I caught their shady business practices. What a joke. I am totally humiliated because of her incompetence. Some 100% guarantee! I would never have known that I was charged and the baskets not delivered. What a terrible business. I also notice, there is not customer service avenue for complaints. TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW.Pros + NONECons – TOOK MY MONEY, DID NOT DELIVER THE PRODUCT, CAUGHT IN TH
