I hadn’t been to Javalato for awhile and I went there this morning only to find out it is closed. What a shame. I saw things start to go down hill on this place back in October, but I thought it had more to do with staff than the economy. Does anyone know if there are other Javalato’s in the area? I really liked this place. I’m giving it 4 stars but don’t know that it matters since it is closed.Pros + Great coffee and ambience.Cons – Staff wasn’t as friendly as they used to be, but still pretty good.

Although our Entertainment Book coupon wasn’t honored, Sol Irlandes posted that on the door and marquee. Attentive staff, including the valet. Manager checked on us twice and the wait staff worked as a team to take care of ours and the neighboring tables’ needs. Great food and drink at fair prices. We shared the Fish Taco Wrap and Acapulco Enchiladas. I have a co-worker who is very hard to please. He emphasized several times that he can not eat spicy food but I was feeling adventurous and decided to try out Banana Leaf for lunch. Our waitress helped us pick out a non-spicy dish from the menu. In his exact words, his “Pineapple Fried Rice” was “the best I have ever had”. Great location, good coffee, free wireless. The crew does a nice job brewing, service is fast, and the shop is well kept. Drive through for early morning pick-up. Rumor that they also cater; I’ve not tried that service.
