I always remembered the West End as someplace to go and see. An actual site. Recently when i stopped by i was sadly disappointed. Half the shops are closed down. The movie theater is gone. There was maybe 4 people there. The only thing worth making the trip for is the antique store that is in the basement where the old arcade used to be. If you are looking for something from your childhood or just decorations for around the house, they will have it.Pros + Antique Store, No CrowdCons – Most shops closed down, no atmosphere

For a cost of $0, you can come see one of the most impressive private collections of Asian art around. That’s right, it’s free. The Trammell-Crow Collection is a sleak modern museum with multiple galleries boasting treasures from East and South Asia. They have a rotating collection on their lowest gallery that usually features modern art from China or Japan, so every time you come back you’ll get to see something different. Their collection of Chinese antiquities is most impressive, but just down the corridor you’ll find treasures from India, Nepal, and Southeast Asia as well. The museum hosts regular cultural activities (like mehndi instruction and documentaries) and festivals in conjunction with the Dallas Museum of Art across the street. Not to be missed!

I visited Reunion Tower for the first time on 5/29/05 and found it to be an exciting experience..I especially enjoyed going through the Hyatt Regency Hotel..that is another beautiful building..but the Tower is wonderful and I was very pleased to see so many tourist/guest there also..and a group of Jewish children that were really enjoying the sights from the Tower..Thank you Dallas for this great site..and for all the great sites I got to see..I am a native Texan and had not seen these sites in Dallas…we have so much in our wonderful, beautiful State to be proud of. I did not eat at the Tower but will try next time… JCoffia, Temple, Texas
