Where is the Best Fort Worth Mexican Food in Dallas, Texas?
If you’re looking for a place to drink margaritas and hang out on a massive patio with a cool atmosphere…Joe T. Garcia’s is the place, but the food is horrible! You basically get two choices if you go during the evening…fajita’s or the family-style dinner. The family dinner is nothing but some tiny cheap tacos, cheese enchiladas, and cheese nachos…the latter two using what could best be described as tasting like some of that jarred processed cheese sauce you can buy at the supermarket. You also get the standard fare of chips and salsa. Food is extremely bland and not worth the money. Stay away if you’re hungry!
Ok,the food is very good,but the service…oh my god!!!Tengo 20 anos que voy a este restaurante y la comida me encanta,pero el servicio es pesimo,lo peor que puede haber,las meseras tienen una cara terrible todo el tiempo y llevan la comida de mala gana sin acordarse de preguntar si necesitamos algo despues,creanme lo que digo,tengo 20 anos aguantando ese pesimo servicio y solo vuelvo porque la comida no tiene comparacion,por favor si los duenos de este restaurante leen esto,den algun tipo de instruccion a las meseras sobre como tratar al cliente porque aparentemente no saben hacerlo,y no nos hacen un favor con servirnos el favor se los hacemos nosotros con darles trabajo y propinas que obviamente no merecen,las peores meseras son una de ojos claros y otra con un acne terrible,si les llegan a tocar esas meseras mejor les convendra salirse inmediatamente!!huyan por su vida,pero hay una sola exepcion,la bella Lupita,es la mejor mesera,y se acerca varias veces a ver si necesita uno algo,
My family has visited this establishment for almost 40 years – since it was located in the little building next door. There is a lot of good mexican food in Fort Worth, but this one is the best!!! The guacamole is wonderful and the chips will melt in your mouth. The salsa is spice without overpowering heat. My favorite is “la grand fiesta” – a variety of chicken based dishes or my son and I share the fajitas. My husband can’t get away from the chalupas or my daughter the tamales. The service is consistently top notch and there is a warm family atmosphere that makes you want to return again and again.Pros + chips, tortillas, service, atmosphere, quality of foodCons – sometimes you have to wait
They advertise the take large groups. We tried to make reservations after my youngest daughter’s college graduation in Denton. They told us we couldn’t make reservations, but that it wouldn’t be problem since we planned it for 4:30 in the afternoon. My older daughter called the manager around 3:00 PM and talked with him about our group (coming from Denton) to arrive around 4:30PM. He said there was no problem. My daughter got there around 3:30 to set up balloons and the staff told she couldn’t do anything until everyone arrive. If they had been busy I could understand this but there were very few people in the place at that time. They finally agreed to let her set up the balloons (after asking HOW many balloons we had). The manager had asked how many people we expected and my daughter told him about 25. During the party the manager came out several time and watched us as if he was counting to see if in fact there were 25 people. I found out after leaving the party and checking my cell
