Starflower did the flowers for my wedding a couple of weeks ago. It was fantastic. I wanted something “fall” to complement the season and bring the outdoors in. With this vague description Jill created the most beautiful, warm, lovely flowers I could have imagined. They were amazing, and quite accessible. I would highly recommend looking at the website, but keep in mind that they have access to all sorts of flowers, not just exotic ones. If you love red and orange mums (like I do) you can have a whole mess of them arranged in a beautiful way, no fussy, expensive lilies or orchids to be seen. They are also very careful in using local and sustainable producers whenever possible. This is difficult in fall and winter, but there are always options. If you want to send flowers to someone locally, think of this as a great option with little negative environmental impact, just ask to see what is available!If you are planning a wedding, go see them! I shopped several florists for my Wedding and chose A.R. Moss. Anita was wonderful to work with. I came in with some pictures and ideas of what I wanted and Anita brought them to life. When people ask me what I liked about my wedding I say” My flowers, were the best part ” my bouquet was to die for, absolutely stunning. I only wish I could have said the same for my hair (tee hee) My Bouquet is still alive in water…and I got married 12 days ago!! My Bridesmaids loved their bouquets as well. I would and will refer Anita and A.R. Moss to anyone who is looking for the perfect flowers for their special occasion. Keep up the great work, you are great at what you do.Couldn’t be happier!!! A. We recently experienced the dealth of a family member and received several deliveries from Nancy’s Floral Service. What I found most troubling about the company was their delivery service. Upon delivering flowers they were constantly shoeing my dogs away with their clipboards, my dogs are not dangerous dogs but when a stranger enters our fully fenced property and begins hitting at them they quiet possibly could become irritated, I have trouble with it especially since we directed them to leave them at the gate entrance if we were not available. Also one order sent were to be color floral assortment, the sender was disappointed to learn I received white daisies.
Rachel, the owner of By the Bunch, is a dream. She worked with me over the phone and via email for my daughter’s wedding (I live in Texas and the wedding was in Portland). She was professional, extremely helpful and the final product was amazing. She understood we wanted a simple but elegant look and she delivered. Since it was a winter wedding and the colors were dark green, white and silver, she found beautiful flowers and vases to accomplish what my daughter wanted for her special day. Rachel is unassuming but very helpful. She arrived for set up timely and even offered to help with decorating! The ceremony and reception areas literally blossmed when she was done and the lovely smell of the flowers that were used was enjoyed by all. Thank you Rachel.
