The Loon is a fantastic bar that can be just about whatever you want it to be.Need dinner at 7pm on sunday? They got it.Looking for a hook up at midnight on Saturday? Check. In town on business on a Monday and you need a place to have a few drinks and work on that proposal due in the morning? No prob. The reason for its versatility is four-fold. 1. Great staff. These folks don’t mess about while on duty. Even if you are the only guy in the bar…they won’t be chatting with each other and ignoring you. Whoever trained them did a very good job. 2. Stiff drinks. Hell…stiff drinks are useful just about 24 hours a day. If I want a drink at midnight or noon…I want it to be a stiff one. 3. Good food. Food here is restaurant quality +…not crappy greasy bar food like some Bars and Grills in Uptown. 4. Last and perhaps most importantly….the crowd changes in both numbers and attitude right when you want it too. Like clockwork…this place has just the right crowd at

I love this place. Who knew you could have a real winery in the middle of Dallas. The place is a cross between a hip urban lounge and a winery that you might find in Napa. I was introduced to Times Ten by a friend and now I bring all of my friends. I recommend doing a tasting on your first visit where you can choose what you like. They have a very attractive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff but your best bet is to find one of the 3 owners. One of them is always there and I like getting their recommendations. If they have time they will even take you on a tour. They have a limited food menu but let you bring in food or even have it delivered. I’ve seen their wines on a few local menus and I hope to see even more places serve their wines. My only complaint is that there prices are a little high for bottles to take home. Check out the monthly wine special and you can find a deal. Pros + Personal serviceCons – retail wine costs are a little high

STAY AWAY! We went out, and 2 out of 4 of us were underage, so the bartender made them pay a 15 dollar cover each. I ordered a cosmopolitan, and it was this watered down, too much juice, mess. The hookahs were nice (but over priced, cheapest is 20 dollars, most are 35- 45 dollars). AND the bartender/waiter wouldnt replace the charcoal ( not an abnormal request- as anyone whose familiar with sheeshas would know) and said that we would have to buy another sheesha.By the way- this guy was an Azzhole the ENTIRE time, didnt know what was wrong with him. I was embarrassed at the poor service since I was the one who recommended the place. Then the true NIGHTMARE began. We wanted to pay the bill, and the bartender/waiter told us it was 120 dollars. We had 3 drinks, and 2 sheeshas. It was way too much, so when my friend gave the bartender his card, the bartender SAID it didnt go through, so we gave him cash. My friend then asked to see the charges and the bartender replied very rudely “Im sor

OH MY GOSH! Our rehearsal dinner was WONDERFUL– Everything was just perfect and I can’t think of anything I could tell you that could have been changed for the better…Everything was just how we wanted it, from the pictures being displayed to the passed hor’ dourves to the main course to the dessert…It was even quiet when Bob was giving the toast! Our waitress had the music turned down right at the perfect moment…everyone was able to hear him. That was a plus! The food was perfect…my fish was outstanding and all I heard all night was how wonderful and great the food tasted. (It was so much better than the reception food!) The service was exceptional and the wait staff went over and above what was expected. THEY did an amazing job of organizing the evening and making sure we had everything we needed! I have told friends about Iron Cactus and hopefully they will use your services for their dinners in the future. We love this restaurant and can’t wait to come back and enjoy a rel

What a cool spot for lunch, get here before 11:45 or you may wait. $1 sushi night is not to be missed if you get hungry early in the week. Reminds me of the cool little spots around Sydney. Funky mint…
