Where is the Best Fireside Dining in Houston, Texas?
Nice restaurant but way overpriced. Good for one of those splurge type dinners where you just don’t care to spend more than the food is worth. Also, when making reservations, request a table in a good location or out of the way if you desire as they supposedly number you to a specific table and seat you where they want when you show up. The chocolate cake they make is really really good. It was not bad but I’ve had a better chicken fried steak at a “bellaire area grill” for almost a third the price.
I’v been going to this place for about 6 months. All the servers are really friendly but some do need more training on food knowledge. One time the server even brought out my salad and main course at the same time. the food is pretty good overall, however, it appears to be a bit inconsistent sometimes. for examples, the last time I ate there. I ordered seafood fondeaux and fried calamari as appetizers. the fondeaux wasn’t as cheesy as it used to be, it was pretty watery, and we found 3 fried mushroom in our calamari dish. How abvious that is! the kitchen manager really need to get on top of it. Despite the unpleasant dining experiences, I really like how the bar is operating now. It has two flat screen TV constantly runing sports and news. they closed out the bar area for live music and provide awesome happy hour snacks and drinks. the bartenders are very attentive and friendly. And I have to say the two female bartenders are so HOT!!! (one Asian and one Hispanic) I was there agai
