Where is the Best Fireside Dining in Baltimore, Maryland?
I travel quite a bit and this is the BEST Indian restaurant in the states. It is one of the best restaurants in Baltimore, but it is not for everyone. If you don’t like Indian food or if you expect a american restaurant experience, please don’t go because I might be there and you will annoy me.I recommend this to my business contacts who travel in from India and the UK and I have never met someone who has been disappointed. The outdoor dining and the service are very nice, but the food is incredible.Do try the eggplant appeitizer and the lamp chops, you will not be disappointed!!Oh, by the way – the afternoon buffet is good and obviously a lot less expensive, but not indicative of the full evening menu fare. I would strongly disregard any reviews of the buffet – perhaps you should try Cactus Willy’s?Pros + Great Indian Food, it is a neat tucked away spotCons – It is expensive for Indian Food
A friend and I went here for restaurant week and although the food was pretty good, it’s not worth their normal prices. On the plus side our waiter, Lance, was fantastic. Some of the other staff members came off as a little snooty. Our salads came out a bit mushy – as though they had been tossed with the dressing hours before. They were unable to serve the soup without the seafood garnish (shellfish allergy) since the bowls of soup were also made in advance. Our entrees and desserts were nice though. **I assume the food is prepared fresh to order when there isn’t a special event like restaurant week going on, so take this review with a grain of salt.**Pros + Ambience, valet parkingCons – Value
We went just for a night out without the kids. We got such Great Food the service was friendly and the place is like walking into a different time . Its so nice to know there is a place we can go and get away from all the pressures of everyday life and just enjoy everything!! The steak i had was a very large cowboy chop that was cooked to perfection I had it Oscar style with Jumbo lump crab ,bernaise sauce with asparagus it was the best meal i have had in baltimore . My wife had a seafood dish with shrimp lobster crab rockfish and mussles in a dill cream sauce she loved every bite well all except what i ate and what i had was wonderful . The restaurant was very busy that night but all our needs were taken care of . We never had to ask for anything . This is a truly a Maryland Treasure We were in the bar after dinner and got to meet the chef he was so kind and truley seemed to care about the restaurant and the work he is doing . Brian Boston is his name he gave me a card and told me i
