Overall the food is good, but the service was very slow. We were there for 1hr 45 min total arriving at 8am with the restaurant not being full, sat on the patio and took 10+min for someone to greet us. Other tables were sat after us who had drinks and orders taken. We waited forever for our entree and I had put a to go order in when we placed the order which was brought out much later after we finished our meal and was the wrong entree. I let her know and she apologized and took the order back and when she finally brought out the second to go order it was not correct. She apologized and went back to get the side order and came back to the table again and said they had run out. I was surprised that nothing was taken off the bill or that we were not at least offered a free dessert due to the service and slow wait time. I may try one more time, but there are tons of other great restaurants in Austin that take care of their customers.Pros + foodCons – slow service and mistakes

when I went with my family I walked in and saw friendly faces which sometimes doesn’t happen when you are nine! The waiter kindly explained how Fogo worked which is good or it could get frantic and confusing. My advise just chill and don’t be afraid to turn your card to red to catch up. The filet mignon was so good it was like when in Ratatouille he put the mushroom and cheese together and the cartoon stars went off in his head. The lamb was a little dry.My sister who wanted nothing to do with the “skewers of death” found plenty to eat on the salad bar and they even brought her a whole bowl of strawberries. Oh and the imported soda is awesome.Pros + flavor, service, sodaCons – too far away from home

We went on Mother’s Day & service was awful. We were seated upstairs & our poor server was friendly, but he must have had too many tables assigned to him. Did like the fact that the upstairs was much quieter than the main restaurant. My husband likes to come at lunch, the lunch prices are much more reasonable.Best rolls in town. Mother & I ate 2, lost count on my husband!Food was quite tasty. Mother had the Mele e Speck salad with apples, Gorgonzola, Walnuts and bacon in , apple cider vinaigrette.I had the fixed price menu with ravioli stuffed with braised veal, ricotta and spinach in fresh sage butter with lemon and pine nuts (outstanding), $11Chicken breast stuffed with sun dried tomato pesto (almost undetectable, over grilled asparagus (one spear), goat cheese and roasted potato torta with black truffle cream – DELISH! $26.Husband had Cacciucco – a stew of shrimp, scallops, fresh fish, calamari and mussels saut?ed with red chili, spring onions and roasted to

As a fan of the III Forks in Dallas, I was looking forward to trying it here. We made reservations for Saturday night. They gave us a booth in the bar area. Despite our apprehensions, we didn’t ask for another table. Big mistake! The bar area at III Forks should not include booths for dining. It is too loud, too crowded, and quite clearly a matter of “out of sight, out of mind” for the waitstaff assigned to the tables there. Ten minutes after we were seated, a waiter offered us a wine menu and didn’t give us a chance to order anything else after we declined it. Fifteen minutes later, we finally met our waiter but we didn’t see him again until he brought our entrees. Someone else delivered our appetizers. We tried the bacon-wrapped scallops, the beef crostini, and a III Forks Sampler. Of the three, the sampler was the best. It was the only good food we had there and the only food that was adequately described on the menu. The Dover Sole was fresh but boring, whereas the be

Every once in awhile, I have a craving for something exotic, wild, and different. This is where we go for that. The sauces are unique. The sample platter is a delight of several exotic beasts. The salad is clean and fresh tasting. I think that they even pick dandelions from their backyard, and the cilantro off of the roof. The ambience is simple and refreshing. The people are delightful. This is a popular place, so the parking may be on the creative side and the wait may be longer than you expected. Just keep on drinking your wine and enjoying the unique gardens in the back area.
