We had brunch here recently on a quiet February weekend. Food was very good – prime rib with horseradish cream sauce was especially tasty. Other standouts: crispy bacon, wonderful fresh pineapple, chicken tangine, good breads, well-made omelets, a superior chocolate mousse. A few things didn’t quite appeal as much: dry pork tenderloin (sauce helped though), maple-flavored sausage (just a particular peeve of mine – don’t like flavored sausage), apple crisp was rather bland, and the danish and bagels were the standard food service type, nothing tempting. Service was friendly and efficient and the views are just lovely – I imagine they’re fantastic at night as well with the bridge in the background. Actually, would give the brunch 4.5 stars, just not the full 5 stars. At $29.95 each, I kind of expect everything to shine – lol.
