I took my wife to Chamberlain’s Steak and Chop house last night and it was just perfect! We started with the appetizer combination. It was very cool! It had the largest shrimp I have ever seen, kobe beef dumplings and perfectly prepared ahi tuna. Then we took the waiters recommendation and ordered the Spinach salad with warm goat cheese. It was amazing and what a great combination of flavors. For our entrees I had the New York strip and my wife had the Sole. Her fish was really really good as I understand Chamberlains has the best seafood restaurant in the Dallas area just down the street. My steak was cooked to the perfect medium rare that I had ordered. The waiter had suggested a nice pinot noir to go with our food and it was a dead on match. The food was all great, but what really made the night special was how nice and efficient the staff was. From the person that took our reservation, to the hostess that met at the door and then our server was increadible. They all were just the

If you are looking for the best place for a romantic getaway– this is it! Their service is top-notch and the suites are amazing. Suite number 2 is the most romantic room I have ever seen and I travel all the time (all the suites are great but this is my personal favorite). You will feel like you stepped into the French countryside. I had told them that I was in Europe when I was booking my suite and they asked me about my trip when I signed in. The staff calls everyone by name and does everything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They even have a butler come in and light your fireplace. Oh, and the food is a must-have also! I highly recommend Hotel St. Germain!Pros + amazing service, great food, and fantastic roomsCons – none!

We dined here a few days ago with a group doing a little wine tasting. It was impromptu as we had friends in from out of town and did not want to feed them another steak or baked potato. With a little assistance from Adelmo, we picked out four bottles of wine (a white and three tuscans) and had a nice experiment with wines that we have never had before. We ordered family style mussels, calamari, stuffed mushrooms, gnocchi bolognese, and beef tartare. Wowww. Lucky for us, Adelmo was visiting with a wine purveyor showing him some wines. He actually took a minute and let us try a prosecco that the salesman was tasting. Special indeed. Then for dinner, we had the waiter pick us six dinners that would go well with the red wines. All surprise we don’t care as long as its good. Well it was fabulouso. Veal osso buco, buffalo osso buco, veal parmigiana, lamb chops, meat lasagna, and rigatoni bolognese. We shared all the dishes and were more than satisfied. The bolognese is one of t

We went to Capital Grille (uptown) for our anniversary last year and were very, very impressed. First of all – if you are celebrating a special occasion, be sure to let them know when you make reservations! We got there to find that our table had “Happy Anniversary” confetti sprinkled down the middle, a card signed by staff; a complimentary photograph was taken, our dessert was on the house, and I (the lady) was given a rose. Lovely experience! Now to the food…can I just say DROOL….! OMG…I ordered the French Onion Soup as an appetizer, and it is the best I’ve ever had; hubby had the lobster bisque and said it was the 2nd best he’s had, the first being when he was on a business trip in Maine, so there you go. My filet mignon was positively melt-in-your-mouth delectable, as were the garlic potatoes, and hubby loved his steak and asparagus as well. Service was impeccable; our waiter was not only very knowledgeable but also very friendly, didn’t talk down to us at all (as w

Hector’s is a classic restaurant – good food, friendly service, and an entertaining atmosphere. It is for people who want to enjoy themselves not impress others. Depending on my mood, I have enjoyed the sea bass or the hamburger. Sometimes I have a regular desert and sometimes I have the spinach salad for dessert. Its that kind of place, you can order what you want. Once my mother had the sweet potatoes as her entire entree. No one blinked an eye and she had a good time. You can tell I am a fan and I have been eating out several times a week for over thirty years. The fact that Hector comes to your table and actually cares whether you are having a good time is major.
