Last night my wife and I went to Bellagio, although a little far from where we live, we couldn’t resist given all of the great reviews. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations. The atmosphere was cozy, but a little too warm for me. I had sweat dripping off of my forehead all night but, back to the food. The appetizers and salads were very good, but in my opinion it’s pretty hard to mess those up. My wife had the bistecca tuscany, which was bland at best. It tasted like something I could have made at home with some bottled ragu. I had a salmon special which was ok, but not mind blowing. The wine list seemed fine, so no disappointments there. It’s definitely going to be hard for you not to try Bellagio given the number of great reviews, but given the cost, in the end, don’t say I didn’t warn you. It’s very unlikely we’ll ever head out there again, unless it’s at the request of someone else. We went out with out-of-town guests over on Saturday night. We waited in the patio tent (which is not warm enough for a chilly night, even with heaters in place). The live music entertainment was average. We asked for frozen margritia, which IS on the drink menu. The server told us that they don’t make the drink because “the weather is too cold” and no one order for it, so they won’t make it. We asked for draft beers instead, they do not have draft beers, but only have bottle beers. It’s a pricey resturant and they do not have funds to have a draft beer machine? The server dropped a glass of Merlot (RED wine!!) all over me halfway when we were still waiting for the table. My jacket, sweater and jeans were all soak in red wine, and my husband’s shirts and pants were also got splashed. They offer a tiny glass of club soda to get the stains out… which was WAY not enough to treat my clothings. We asked and asked again for more club sodas and napkins, and they were taking their very sweet

We were happy (and suprise) on Sat night I called at 730pm and got reservations at 8:30pm. Sure it’s summer but the economy has definitely opened up seating in our favorite places.Starlite was very nice, located downtown in the thick of all the fun. Valet the car and walk 3 doors down. You walk in to their hostess and a small bar scene of alterna-snob-service-industry types. But once you invade their territory you make it to the very nice and clean restaurant. The food was good – we enjoyed the oyster app, loved the tomato soup special (delicious) and then moved into main courses of a very nice seared tuna dish and the delicious lamb. Despite both of us having cauliflower side dished they were so different and excellent (the curry cauliflower was fantastic). We enjoyed the wine and Candide as well as the chocoilate dessert quite a bit.Really a nice spot, but expect to pay a little more than an average night out. Service was good although we sometimes felt rushed when they clea

Chez Nous is small but the staff is very attentive and the food is great. You do not find sweet breads on many menus but here they are wonderfully prepared. The escargot and the duck mousse pate are excellent. We did have to wait a bit but stood at the bar and had wine. Highly recommend.Pros + Excellent StaffCons – Parking; Hilton hotel is a half block away and has available parking

My fiance and I went here on a Sat. night on the recommendation of the hotel that we were staying at. We were seated right away but it took our waitress about 5 minutes to greet us. After she finally showed up she must have taken another 5-7 mins to come back with our drinks. As usual my fiance hadn’t made up her mind on what to get on the menu which turned out being a 15 min smoke break for our waitress. I exaggerate on the smoke break part but not at all the time that it took for her to get back to us to take our order. The food however made up for the lackluster service. For the appetizer we had the tuna tartar which was exceptional. For our entrees I had the flounder special which was heavenly while my fiance had the halibut which was also good, but not nearly as good as the flounder. I would go back, but perhaps next time I’ll get it to take back to our room.
