Where is the Best Fine Dining in Austin, Texas?
We go to Ciola’s at least once a week and consider ourselves resident “regulars”… we don’t go for the food, although we do eat a lot of the time we come in. (best cesear salad in town, hands down.) Sit at the bar- we have fantastic service at the tables, but the bar staff is the reason we chose to go there half the time. Lonnie, the sarcastic, and Chanel, the sweet girl-behind-the bar will take good care of you! Drinks are great, atmosphere is dark wooded, velvet curtained, and fantastically tavern-like. Baseball memoribila lines the walls, and in the late afternoons/early evenings, the bar is filled with the “boys club” of the local golf courses emptying out 12:00 tee time players. They all seem to gather at Ciola’s at the end of the day, to have a cocktail or share an appetizer. Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin crone in the background, and you get the feeling you are in another time. The seated portion of the restaurant is non-smoking, and if you prefer it, I recommend the c-
I found Siver and Stone while driving through downtown Georgetown. Boy am I glad I did! My wife and I went to the top of the building and enjoyed the best view of the N.Austin in the area. Six stories up and a wrap around porch. I plan on going back and watching the fireworks after the Friday Express games. We both shared the mushroom appetizers and each had a glass of wine. They were fantastic! The mood was causual but not too casual. They also had a band that was playing on the patio to help ease you into the weekend. I do plan on going back for brunch on Sunday. If the brunch menue was as tasty as the happy hour bar menue, I will not be disappointed. I strongly suggest goiing. I give it a 5 star rating and I will return! Pros + food, happy hour, view
I wasn’t super impressed for the price. I’ve been to a lot of nice places all over the US… and this place just wasn’t worth the price. I went on Valentine’s Day so there was a set menu… and the ambience may have been busier than the norm. Food WAS good, don’t get me wrong. The mojito’s were to die for.Pros + cuts of meats, drinks, location
Everything is getting back to normal. It is extremely hard as parents to have such a wonderful gift to be put in your lap and asked to raise, nurture and make it happen. I am so happy for Jennifer and Ryan and I think I have a new calling. Do you have a position available for me? I can only pray you have this wonderful experience a head of you. With your help everything went extremely well. Jim and I were so excited about the ceremony and reception that we did not eat anything at the reception. We talked and greeted everyone and danced the night away in celebration of Jennifer and Ryan. Everyone keeps calling and saying what a wonderful wedding and excellent reception. That the food and cake were excellent and the staff was on top of making sure everyone was waited on before they had a chance to even think about being served food, cake or drink. From the first meeting we knew that Green Pastures was the welcoming location for our daughter and new son’s reception. As a tourist in Austin staying at the nearby AURTIN MOTEL, i ate at ENOTECA VESPAIO twice and was pleased both times. From the sunday brunch menu, i had the omelet of the day — very tasty with chanterelle mushrooms and veal sausage. The potatoes were not numerous and tucked into the omelet which was small overall. It was complimented…
