Where is the Best Fast Food in Portland, Oregon?
There is too much hype about Burgerville. I have lived in many other states and have had The best. Whatburger, IN and Out, Sonic, and Jonny Rockets. I guess this is the best Portland has to offer.I did enjoy the walla walla onion rings. But they are limited in time. What su*ks is that they do not offer onion rings after the walla walla season has ended. At least give us regular onions to hold us down.The buns are small and the fries s*ck. Too soggy.The worst part is the employees hang out with you and eat. Is there an Employee breakroom somewhere?Plus it seems like it is a hassle to drive into the parking lot. I love the Daily Cafe. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. Recently I had the two specials for lunch: a sandwich of roasted vegetables, hummus and lettuce, and the cauliflower soup. The portion size was perfect, and the service was lightning-quick–I had barely found a table before they were calling my name. The sandwich was a little on the plain side, but the soup was piping hot and surpringly light for what I assume was a cream base.I have also been for the prix fixe brunch menu, and it is Fab-u-lous. They have interesting, seasonal choices, and the breakfast sandwich I had with egg, bacon and some kind of delicious sauce was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had.Service is great, food is great. I’ve eaten here quite a bit in the past, typically for a pizza slice and a breadstick. The breadsticks are great and the pizza is usually excellent, although sometimes it is a little burnt. When the Pizza is fresh and hot out of the oven, it is very good. I think Hot Lips needs to improve a little bit on its pizza-by-the-slice consistency, and make sure Pizzas don’t come out burnt or stay out on the display too long. Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say about the place. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, there is always reading materials around to read, plenty of napkins, beverage selection is very good, and lots of organic ingredients used in the food that they make.Pros + Extremely good pizza and breadsticks, good atmosphereCons – Inconsistency sometimes in pizza by the slice
An Absolutely MUST is to get the Burrito Dos Manos. You get basically TWO regular burritos with the works: cheese, guac, rice, beans, meat, sour cream, for about7.50. You can’t beat it. Plus, I frankly think it is one of the best burritos I’ve ever had, and I LOVE burritos. GET IT NOW!Pros + excellent burritos, fast service, call aheadCons – crowded at lunch, not exactly romantic
