This Doubletree is in a great location and I have wanted to stay here for years. When I arrived, I was told that the room I had reserved had been given to another party. They put my husband and I up in a extremely small and extremely dirty room. There were stains all over the floor and the smell was terrible. The hotel was unable to give us a new room until the next day.The head valet was extremely rude to everyone he came in contact with (employees and other guests). He was unable to communicate effectively therefore causing mass confusion in the lobby and the valet area. Hotel Management was non-existent. There are too many nice hotels to enjoy in the French Quarter for the same price with better accomodations. I will not be staying here again.Pros + LocationCons – Rude Staff,Parking Service, and Dirty Rooms

The Hilton is magnificently located and appointed. The check-in is a little confusing – hidden away on the second floor. Room very nice, comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. Starbucks quick breakfast on 2nd floor very convenient for conventioneers. BUT it is MUCH TOO EXPENSIVE for what they give you, $270 per night is outrageous. They are obviously putting the squeeze…

Also on-site: marina, boat launch, convenience store, live bait(seasonal), transient slips and marine fuel and supplies.Pros + New Renovations, Fabulous Cafe and Lucky Bayou Joker Poker Cons – Set in the beautiful marsh of Bayou Bienvenu

This Sheraton is located just across the street from the French Quarter. All of the staff were friendly and the lobby is pretty impressive. The room itself was average size, comfortable and well maintained. The pool area was tiny and the hot tub had been tiled over (?). The biggest negative was the high cost of parking ($30+/night… no in/out)….
