Where is the Best Family-Friendly Dining in San Diego, California?
I enjoy Buca di Beppo. It’s my favorite chain restaurant to go for Italian food, especially if I have a large group joining me. My husband and I go on our own and get the smaller portions of chicken parm and we absolutely love their fried mozzarella. It is nice to go to a mom and pop Italian restaurant if you want the intimate atmosphere but I like coming here with a fun group. The service has been adequate for such a large and busy restaurant.Pros + Chicken ParmCons – Crowded, service can be slow
I really like the bread and herbed oil when you sit. I’ve particularly enjoyed the specials here, especially the pork chop special a few weeks back. Everything is really tasty and the place is like an old converted house. It really has a neighborhood feel to it. Pros + Fast seating, big portions, tasty foodCons – Takes a long time
Arrived after a day at Sea World – 3 adults accompanied by a 4, 2, and 1 year old. Also had to get one of the adults and the 1 year old to the Airport in about 2 hours after arriving. Staff was very fun & responsive. The 4 and 2 year old loved throwing the staws back at he waitress. No one seemed to mind that the 1 year old was not having a good evening. And when his crying caused his mom to give the wrong order to the waitress, the staff quickly took it back and brought back what mom wanted. Food was a little over priced, but what the heck
I read the review about Royal India’s Indian cuisine in the union tribune today and our company decided to try lunch buffet at Royal India. We loved both the salads, all the chutneys including the mango and yogurt dressing. I loved the samosa with mint chutney and tandoori chicken with tamarind chutney. It was an outstanding experience. Talking about curry OH MY GOD I am addicted to Royal India the roasted chicken cooked in creamy tomato curry I believe its Chicken Tikka Masala and palak paneer the spinach item with farmers cheese in it and vegetables in coconut curry with cashew paste is really great and I agree with the review by Margret King the food editor that it is addictive. I do not like it spicy but the chicken curry and lamb curry looked very tempting. The fresh Nan bread was awesome and I mean it. Two Desserts the silky mango and the rice pudding are must try and Royal India is on our list for once a week office lunch. It was a satisfying experience. Royal India is on the to
