Where is the Best Family-Friendly Dining in San Diego, California?
We were attracted not only by the menu but the extensive outdoor terrace dining area. Lots of people eat here before the theater, so reservations are a good idea. The seafood entrees are interestingly done and good-sized portions. We ended up sharign a dessert of unusual sorbet flavors. Expensive, but worth it. A beautiful setting and attentive service.
I’ve been vacationing in LaJ for 10 years, and the Cottage is quite simply the BEST place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Terrific food (famous for its breakfasts – great place for lunch – and in summer, open for yummy dinners). Friendly helpful waitstaff. And, the loveliest surroundings – a beautiful little patio. The Cottage is perfect for a quiet meal for 2, and is also “kid friendly” with crayons and the like. Hint: if you go on weekend, either arrive early or prepare for quite a wait – its popular – but well worth it.
