Where is the Best Family-Friendly Dining in Portland, Oregon?
Can you believe this place? Talk about weathering the years!! It’s a 50’s diner in the 2000’s. The best breakfast that this person has ever had in her life. I’ve been going there for most of my life and am appalled that there could be a negative review. I love this place. Everything is homemade, from Johnny’s country gravy, to all the soups, etc. The brown gravy is to die for. All the staff has been there for 10 plus years so there are very few mistakes. Week-ends are busiest; so get in there early. Just remember that the building is ancient, to say the least, but Diane makes improvements all the time. Also, remember that people are human, you may have to wait in line, so be prepared. Come join us at Dianes!!!!! Bon Appetite
This is a typical chain pizza place with so-so food and steeper prices than what one would expect for the food they are serving. The place in decorated in a fun way though. Better lunch place then dinner. The salads are decent but they aren’t very healthy (just because it’s salad doesn’t mean its healthy!). I have been to a few different locations and have been less then impressed with all of them. The whole pies are mediocre and a little on the greasy side.Pros + cute decor, fast eatsCons – greasy, average pizza
I recently held a retirement party for a friend and cohort at 4th Street Brewing. Our event took place in an upper level room and the setting was great. The Lager Room overlooks the main floor yet was still very private for our group and we even had our own private bar . The staff was friendly and competent and our hostess was especially accommodating to all my concerns in preparation for the affair. She was also available making sure all concerns were addressed that evening. The food was plentiful and was kept warm. I received many compliments about the event, the place and atmosphere by friends and hospital staff that attended. Everyone who ate the food thought it was delicious! Best of all, my friend was very happy for the evening and we were all pleased with the great turnout. I certainly recommend the restaurant to others, and it is an especially great place for group a group event.Pros + Great atmosphere and service!
I took my friend to Tin Shed for breakfast on a Friday morning. Surprisingly there were a lot of people there, and quite a few waiting. They told us to help ourselves to coffee while we waited, which was nice. Our wait wasn’t super long since we opted to sit in the outside dining area (which had heaters above, so it wasn’t so bad even though it was just under 60 degrees outside at the time). Food was good, and came out pretty quickly. The prices weren’t cheap, but not ridiculous either. I’d come back. Pros + Friendly staff, good food, lots of vegetarian options.Cons – Parking could be an issue at times due to the neighborhood.
