Where is the Best Family-Friendly Dining in Atlanta, Georgia?
My husband and I have frequented Blue Moon quite often since we moved to West Village. The staff has always been extremely friendly and knowledgeable (including host and bar staff). The pizza has the perfect amount of crunch, great sauce and fantastic ingredients. The wings are quite good and the salads are incredibly fresh. The wine list isn’t great- but I assume most people who go there grab a beer with their pizza. Avoid Friday and Saturdays if you do not want to surround yourself with dozens (and dozens) of small children (and parents who don’t care what their kids do/scream). The restaurant is just out of control with kids on the weekend. Pros + Pizza, Salads, LocationCons – Too. Many. Screaming. Children.
Sean created an incredible anniversary experience for my wife and me. He made me look like a romantic genius with the way he treated us on our special night. The food was incredible – not exaggerating, it was the best I remember eating. It’s great to have this kind of experience in the North Gwinnett area. Highly recommend it… unless you would rather fight traffic for an hour. Pros + High end restaurant experience – great price!!!Cons – Wasn’t here several years ago 🙂
My husband and I tried Blue Moon Pizza for the first time after reading an article in the paper. We were skeptical because we knew the area and had passed by the shopping center previously. Let me tell you that this is worth every penny!The pizza at Blue Moon is fantastic!! Let me recommend the Sante Fe Chicken and the White pizza, MMMMM! Their appetizers are great as well. We didn’t have to wait long for a table and the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable! If you are looking for great pizza, THIS IS IT!The one thing my husband and I were most pleased with was the service!! We are frequent Vinings patrons and we were so happy to have our old favorite bartender as our server. She greeted us with the friendliest smile and very energetic but professional attitude. She looked extremely busy but still greeted us promptly and made sure we felt like we were the most important customers in the room. I have been to the OK Cafe about 3 times and the food was excellent! However, the last time I was there both the Meatloaf and the Pot Roast was horrible. The Meatloaf that use to have a meaty and hearty texture tasted like it had too many fillers and not enough meat. The Pot Roast was dry, stringy and tough. I don’t know whether or not they have new cooks, but compared to my visits before this, I was surprised and very disappointed. Especially so, because I had raved about it so much to my friends and brought a guest with me. She said she never wanted to go back. Ok Cafe: For the sake of customers like me, who love to cook and know what good food is suppose to taste like, STEP IT UP!
