Where is the Best Facial in Portland, Oregon?
I’ve had my hair cut at salons before but they always asked what I wanted done, I always said to just do it the way it is but shorter. This time I decided I would ask for recommendations. I did my due diligence and decided to go to Defining Image. I asked Ellery what he thought and he gave me his recommendations as far as the cut. I then asked him about coloring the grey. I’ve never done this before and was hesitant. He put me at ease.Watching Ellery cut my hair, I could tell immediately I was in the hands of a master. Not just the wham bam kind of cuts I usually get. He’s also a woodworking (as am I) and I suspect that accounts for his meticulous nature. The haircut is the best I’ve ever gotten! The whole experience was wonderful from check in to check out. I had the Kanani No Ka Oi spa package which included a body wrap and facial with Lauren. I never felt rushed and the facilities were very clean. When I left, my face and body felt better than I had expected and I was really relaxed.I have very sensitive face skin – I think more sensitive than most – which I expressed to my therapist. I explained to her some of the issues I’ve had with my face and the types of products I use to clean it. I also had recently used a product suggested to me by a friend which had left my face inflamed and broken out. Lauren, the therapist, not only was familiar with the products, but also made some excellent recommendations. She also took the information I provided to customize a facial that soothed and nourished my skin. I was a bit nervous when I ordered the facial because I had had one before at different spa and my face was red and on fire for more than 3 days. But I felt heard at Kanan
Amanda at Lola’s really knows how to treat you. I go every 4 weeks for a brow wax and as often as a can for a facial. Her facials are out of this world. My skin has never felt better. There are several different treatments involved and steam if you like it. Ask her to do a facial for your feet!Lola’s is small but inviting. She has warming blankets in the massage table that make me melt – even if I’m just having a brow wax.When I went to Vegas I got a bronzing treatment there as well. It started out with exfoliation and then application of the bronzing lotion. She was very careful not to scrub too hard on my splotchy sunburn which I appreciated. It was super affordable ($40 I think?) and she even sent me home with some of the product to use on my face.The downsides?
