Where is the Best Facial in Austin, Texas?
After seeing all the recent awards and great reviews I am absolutely certain that I will be rejoining Body Business after my current gym membership is over. The gym I go to now is cheaper and has more availability in regards to hours, but those are the ONLY advantages. Everyone at BB makes you feel welcome and are genuinely happy you are there. If you are intimidated by gyms and the “mascots” that parade around at other gyms, then BB is the place to feel safe and actually grow and get healthy in a comprehensive way. The staff are very helpful and you really do look forward to working out! The members are also friendly and they have big open windows with a great outdoor view and beautiful scenery. My current gym has NO windows and lots of obnoxious televisions playing the latest J-Lo song, it’s filthy and the staff could care less that you are there. If you are looking for cheap that’s what you’ll get, but if you want genuine quality and better overall health, then BB is well
I went to try Myo because of the reviews, and I was pleased. I typically go to a day spa, but it has a high turnover rate due to its prices, and I get tired of always having to switch therapists. Myo was not what I was expecting. It does not aim for the posh, indulgent atmosphere of a day spa, which I kind of missed. Like they say, it is more of a bodywork center. There are no fancy locker rooms, etc., or people wandering all about in robes, like I am used to. You undress/change in the room where you receive the massage, before the therapist enters. One of the cool things, though, is the opportunity to select your own music during treatment. It may sound like a small thing, but I thought it was really neat, particuarly since ocean waves and new age music don’t really relax me. I had a 90 min. massage with Gina to address some tightness in my shoulder and knee from playing tennis. It was not a simple massage, but rather a very therapeutic form of treatment – she really focused
I highly recommend hair stylist Emily Hatfield for a haircut and/or color. Finally, after 5 years of being in the Austin area, I have found a true expert and professional in the hair industry. I have long, straight, heavy hair; that I find sometimes, female stylists have a hard time handling. I’m typically open to whatever hair cutting technique the stylist wants to use, as long as they ‘keep the length’ 😉 …but extremely picky when choosing color …having dark brown hair, it’s easy to look like a zebra. Emily immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease with her warm, yet outgoing personality, and vast knowledge of hair color and care products. I loved that I could leave so much of the decision making up to her, and came out looking like a million bucks. I live and work in Round Rock, so when my appointment went a little past 8pm, I was surprised and delighted at how welcome the staff still made me feel; and didn’t try to rush me out. First, the little person with the screen name ‘ga8625’ has posted an incredibly viscious, personal attack against Bryan Lepley in this review section. I can only assume that this ***** (and I assume a woman) has a personal vendetta against Bryan. Maybe he didn’t drool over her tush because he has a beautiful wife. Maybe he didn’t drool over her BMW (go figger). She apparently has the same level of self-motivation as Bill Clinton going to marrage counseling. Bryan doesn’t drool…he sweats, and he motivates me to sweat and work MY tush off, as I train twice a week with him in his spinning classes. Obviously the overall tone of her posting illustrates a destructive rather than constructive ethos on life. OK, so a thin skinned (proof in the towel comment!), viscious little girl whose comments should be regarded as such. I have personally referred six personal friends to Sharon for facials. Two of those who were early referrals are now regular clients enjoying the magic of Sharon’s expertise. I could never find an aesthetician as knowledgeable and dedicated as Sharon Harrell. She cares about each client and their personal needs. Sharon provides the client not only a blissful experience but the assurance that their needs are her primary concern.
