I’ve been to Beauty Kliniek several times while in San Diego–for facials, massages, pedicure, manicure, hair styling, makeup. But cosmetology is only the tip of the iceberg here. It is a labyrinth of intriguing niches each with state-of-the-art offerings for body, mind, and spirit. The clinicians are–across the board–topnotch; they made each session totally relaxing, enjoyable, and therapeutic. This I can compare to some I’ve been to in the NYC area, where staff can be indifferent and lack the degree of expertise and caring I found here, in massages for example. This is a world-class facility, understandably so because its founder and CEO LInda-Anne Kahn, who is multi-certified in everything from aromatherapy to lymphedema therapy, hand picks and trains each employee to her own rigorous standards. We hjad a bachelorette party at S? Spa nad it was amazing. We were offered a 20% discount for parties of 6 or more and were able to relax in our own private area of the relaxation room while we sipped on Champagne. It was also so fun to go up to the pool and relax in one of the cabanas…..again while sipping Champage. I would highly recommend it to any girlfriends wanting a really unique getaway for the day!Pros + EverythingCons – None
I have been to many spas in San Diego, but when I found Alegra Day Spa I knew I’d found a place I’d be going back to again and again. and I have. This cozy, relaxing spot in Mission Hills is one of the most comfortable day spas I’ve ever been in. Everyone I ‘ve met there has been super friendly and accommodating. And, of course, the treatments I”ve experienced have been both wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating — facials, massages, body treatments — they are all very well performed by some of the best spa staff I’ve met. The owner has a very healing touch and when she was doing my facial massage, I actully drifted off to sleep. Nirvana! I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet get-away from life’s hectic pace. I also noticed on this website that they were named by City Search as being the best place for hair removal (or waxing, I can’t remember exactly how it was worded) in San Diego. I have naturally curly and frizzy hair. I constantly flat iron my hair and I end up having really damaged hair. I’ve tried getting a straight perm before but it always either left my hair really damaged or made it look super pin-straight which wasn’t very pretty or natural. So, for a while I had researched different places and I ended up trying Ellure Salon. What was interesting to me was before I could even get my Japanese Straightening was that they had to test my hair first to see if would respond well. All the other times I had done a straight perm, they never asked or tested my hair. That was the first indicator that they were pretty professional. After they tested my hair, they said my hair was okay and I got my hair straightened. Jenny, who was the woman who straightened my hair, was super friendly and very nice. From facials to body work, Owner Lorraine-Dale HAlls expertise in skin care and cosmetic tattoing, getting a “No Foolin Around” or “Fly Me To The Moon” facial or “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” Massage to kicking back in the eucalyptus steam shower or sipping on hot tea , it’s the CHEERS of spa’s!
