Simply THE BEST! I had just started getting Braziilian waxes and I was new to Miami. So, I had no idea where to go, and a coworker told me about “someone” at “somewhere” wax center.. I asked for the esthetician she recommended and it was the worst experience of my life. I knew it was supposed to be painful, but this was torturous, and it took FOREVER. Afterward I was dreading my next visit. When I called to make a new appointment they told me their waxer was on vacation. Not knowing what to do I checked CitySearch, and found Wax Spa. I got the Brazilian Keratin relaxer (which I was afraid what It would do to my hair) and blonde highlights from Gustavo about a month ago and I simply can’t say enough! Though he hadn’t done my hair before, he blended the new highlights PERFECTLY (they were very chunky before.) He first suggested doing the Brazilian Relaxer but when I told him I was on a budget he was SO ACCOMMODATING did not do my base color that I always get, and wove 3 different colors of the most beautiful highlights I’ve ever had. I’ve been getting my hair highlighted for about 3 years now, everywhere from New York to Los Angeles (and I always do plenty of research to find the best places) but still these are probably the BEST I’ve had yet! They’re warm, golden, shiny, beautiful highlights. I get so many compliments! I had taken my teenage daughter to a dermatologist and a few facial spas and her skin did not show much improvement. I remembered that one of my friends had told me about Citysearch, so I decided to look for the best facials in Miami and there was “Silvianas”. I read the reviews and made an appointment. The very first facial that Silvi did on my daughter was amazing! My daughter’s face positively glowed and her skin improved about 150 percent. Just as important, my daughter was extremely happy. It took a while to drive back home to Kendall but it was well worth it!! Every once in a while she would look in the mirror to see her face. She told me it was the best facial she had ever had. I’ve been to this salon for Brazilian wax about four times with Grace and Lena. The best thing about having them do this is that they are true”professionals”. They bring respect, and a strong work ethic to this most “uncomfortable” situation (girls, you know what I mean). They are very attentive to detail and very quick. The other day I had the Brazilian, butt strip and underarms and was in and out in 45 minutes. The prices are definitely reasonable, you get 10% discount the first time, and a frequent customer program gives you points and subsequent discounts. Lena and Grace favor the wax that dries first and then rips off by itself (much gentler), but for stubborn hairs she uses the honey with the strips. I used to go to Uni-K-Wax, 2006. The specialist, Dulce I had was amazing but once she left, my appointments were compromised. The receptionist is the definition of unprofessional, I let the rag receptionist know, I hope you read this : ). Any who, I found out they recycle thier wax. In the room where you recieve your service there are two seperate recepticals, one for the wax the other for the gloves and wooden spatulas. You can do your research. I am a consumer warning other women on this risky business. Your fertility is at stake considering the high risk of contracting an STD from reused wax. Beware.
