Where is the Best Eyebrow Threading & Shaping in Chicago, Illinois?
I spent a Saturday afternoon at Ruby Room thanks to some very generous friends who surprised me with a gift certificate for my birthday…still can’t thank you guys enough. I’m not much for pampering myself, but I am so glad that I did. First I got a massage that was both therapeutic and relaxing. The therapist was wonderful (and surprisingly strong). I walked out of the room in a blissful daze completely relieved of my stress and tension. Thankfully, Ruby Room’s atmosphere is inviting and relaxing without a touch of intimidation so I really felt comfortable. I followed the massage with an hour long Arcona facial with Jenifer. I kid you not, it may have changed my life. My skin looks fresh for the first time in many, many years. With Jenifer’s advice and technique I feel like I’m on my way to have truly good skin. I got a “full monty” which is my whole “bikini” area waxed. The full monty was $50… which i guess is reasonable. This was my FIRST wax. When i walked into the place, it was nothing special. They werent that friendly. BUT Diane (the waxer) was very professional and did a VERY good job. Its kind of like get in and get out because they are busy…And honestly i didnt want to stay there any longer than necessary.. The wax was quick and got the job done, Diane tried to make it as painless as possible for me which was nice because i was very nervous. so all and all im very happy with the result and will come back again and again. OH AND FOR ANY WAX JOBS MAKE SURE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT BECAUSE ITS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!Pros + quick, good jobCons – not that friendly
This review is way overdue: I had my wedding services all done at this salon in May. Everything was perfect! Ashton is so funny and awesome, he did my highlights and gave me a gorgeous “sun goddess” look. He also definitely listened when I told him that I wanted something beautiful but not something that I would have to maintain to grow it out. Brad did my makeup and was so friendly and kind the whole time, distracting me from how much I wanted to hurl! Everyone said that my makeup was flawless and I was so happy with it. I don’t wear much makeup that often, but I never felt too heavy or “made up”; he definitely made me still feel like I was just my own beautiful self! Amelia did my updo and made the look complete: she made this beautiful braid around my head and curls in the back. My hair was seriously amazing. I am new to Chicago and have been investigating spa’s in all different neighborhoods to be my new favorite spot. I am a frequent spa goar and consider myself to be somewhat of a connoisseur. I had heard good things about Spa Space so thought I would give it a try. I had a massage with Beth and it was wonderful. I have been having some pretty intense neck/shoulder problems and she worked on me very powerfully but delicately she even incorporated some techniques and stretches that I have not before experienced… which kind of says a lot. I also had a facial. The facial was just average. I really enjoyed the products and the overall process and technique of the facial however my facialist seemed not so interested and even rushed. Also, she had the music on so low I heard far more of construction and her chair squeaking than relaxing music. Lastly the “relaxation room” was definitely lacking.
