Where is the Best Eastside Restaurant in Los Angeles, California?
Easy going atmosphere, the staff is friendly if you go there with a regular which is nice. I was really impressed. Then I went with someone who was going there for the first time and my second time and we were ignored alot. We tried the deep dish “chicago” style pizza and were very disappointed. It was NOT chicago style and even there attempt was not even edible. The layering was off, my friend ordered pepperoni and there were 2 pieces…literally of pepperoni (I saw it.) and when we commented about it to the waiter, he told us to dig through it to find the rest. None was found. It was baked incorrectly so half of the crust was burnt underneath but the crust under the toppings was doughy uncooked and soggy. I threw mine away. However, my first experience with breakfast food was pretty good and I am going back today for lunch with a “regular” so I should get good service. Just don’t order the pizza! *****UPDATE***** I went to my lunch and ordered the brioche….OMG…that is a
Being an Eastsider, I have driven past Blair’s a milllion times, read the favorable reviews and pondered the hype, but had never succumbed to actually making a reservation and going there. But one night my boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to have a lavish romantic meal and I suggested Blair’s as it was only 3 blocks away and not been tried yet. It was such a good choice because this place is wonderful! They play jazz all night, have a decently priced wine list with one of my favorite malbec’s, and all the food is precisely done. The interior is very comforting, warm rich saffron walls, sophisticated art, dark woods. The crowd was a little old for the Silverlake area–but I loved that! I am tired of going out to standard Silverlake dining institutions that have a lot of quirks and appeal ,but not enough class and style. Blair’s makes up for that! I felt transported. I almost felt like I was dining in Seattle. This is a wonderful date night establishment. The only drawback is that t
Excellent!! Everytime I go I usually order their specials and it’s always great. Well last night was the best by far. Right now they have mozzarella that is flown in once a year, very tasty a must have while they have it. The lobster pasta was great and the quail was splendid. We shared it all and they will divide it for you too and they don’t charge like those other restaurant. Those of you who haven’t gone has to go at least once and you’ll keep going back like we do. Oh and the owner is always there, you see them cooking in front of you (well on the side where you walk in). The place is small so the food is always cooked fresh! You can’t beat that. Two of the waiters must have been there a long time (not sure how long) but they describe the food as if they had made it themselves. TRY IT. You’ll be glad you did! and it’s worth the drive if you’re not in the neighborhood. It’s in an outdoor shopping center so you may miss it. But don’t let the exterior of the location c
