Where is the Best Dive Bar in Indianapolis, Indiana?
Being a Butler grad I have spent many a night drinking in broadripple and many a morning hungover wondering what I was thinking trying to outdrink the entire football team! I did, however, find the perfect cure. Take a short jaunt down a back alley to the Alley Cat & hoist yourself on the barstool for the best bloody mary (and hangover cure) there ever was! This is where I learned to make this “almost a meal” drink. Since then I have made it for others and even converted the unlikely tomato-hater to love this brilliant concoction. No one makes them quite like the alley cat, though. A definite must try.Pros + bloody mary & low-priced drinksCons – seedy & sticky
We went about 9:20pm on Sat 01/09/05 live music started at 10pm and we got in with no trouble at all, found great seats quick, and got beers quick, the service was a bit slow at times and we had to go get our own drinks but no real big deal. Great people there for sure. More then enough music to dance too. And the gift shop had quite the variety and a shoe shine booth. I would deffinatly reccomend this bar to anyone looking for something to do.Pros + dance floor, music, staffCons – , speed of service, small tables
