Where is the Best Dessert in Duluth, Minnesota?
Although it’s called the New Scenic Cafe, there doesn’t seem to be much of a view of the lake. Also, we waited about 20 minutes past our reservations for our table. The food, however, made up for this. The Artichoke Dip arrived super-hot (I burned my tongue) but was really tasty. My wife had a corn chowder soup (very tasty) and the King Crab salad (also very nice). My duck was a little rare and I asked to have it cooked a bit more and the server promptly brought it back. The desserts (Lemon Tiramisu and Chocolate Mocha Cake) are to die for. Don’t leave without dessert!Pros + Good foodCons – Long wait, even with reservations
I’m not sure why this place is such an attraction. The food is average at best. The burgers are greasy, the steak gristly, and everything is expensive. I guess if you really need to stop in and check the place out, just sit at the bar and have a couple of drinks. Try the Lake Superior brand beers that they usually have. Kids might like looking at all the decor on the walls, but every restaurant has junk on the walls now.Pros + outdoor patioCons – , slow seating
