Where is the Best Dessert in Charlotte, North Carolina?
If you are looking for Spanish cuisine in Charlotte, look no further. My specialty is Spanish/Cuban cuisine and this restaurant his the mark. The Paella is fantastic and the wine selection is superb. The owners do a fine job training the wait staff as ours was extremely knowledgeable about each dish. They are a little pricey, but well worth it. Save room for one of the decadent desserts!Pros + Great ambienace, food, drink and serviceCons – a bit on the pricey side
Ryan and I were celebrating two years together so he made a reservation about two weeks before we went in last Friday (Aug. 4th). The directions they gave him over the phone were easy to follow, the valet promtly took our car, we were seated immediately, and greeted with fantastic service that continued throughout the duration of the meal. We had been planning to for sometime but hadn’t had the chance, however, I now know it was well worth the wait! We started with the extensive wine list, had magnolia salads (with warm goat cheese – delicious) moved onto duck with gnocchi and pork tenderloin with a grit cake and pancetta topped peach – both were tender and very well paired and prepared. Dessert is typically my favorite part of the meal yet here everything was so good it’s hard to say it was absolutely my favorite but we were again, impressed. One chocolate molten cake with homemade (slighty tangy – a nice surprise) cherry ice cream and the Barking Dog chocolate sampler we were in
I recently moved to the Charlotte area and I have been looking for authentic German Fare since arriving. Finally, I found this little gem here on city search and I could not be more pleased. The food was delicious. Honestly, I have not found a single dish yet i have not thoroughly enjoyed. The comments about the wurst platters are absolutly spot on. The knockwurst, in particular, is to die for. Its so buttery that I am getting a bit hungry talking about it now. A couple of suggestions to those who eat there:1. Try the jagerschnitzel both as it is listed on the menu (with pork cutlets) and try it with the breaded veal cutlets. The Hunter Sauce accents both extremely well.2. Join The Beer Club! It truly is worth it!!!3. Try the Black Forrest Cake. It truly is chocolate cake and cherry heaven.Anyhow, swing by sometime and enjoy. Incidentally, to the reviewer from Louisiana… I am from New Orleans myself. While I love my spicy food, this style of cooking is still
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. I had been a few times before, and have always adored it, and this time was no exception! We look very young for our age, and sometimes have a problem getting quality service. Here, were treated like royalty by our great waitress! My birthday fell on a Sunday, and we made reservations for that evening. When we got there, we realized we definitely didn’t need the reservations! There were only two other groups there in the entire restaurant! You’d think it’d have been quiet, but one of the groups was a noisy wedding shower, downstairs. It was definitely bearable, though. We got the entire shabang, with the salad (I got the mushroom salad… DELICIOUS!), cheese fondue (sharp cheddar), meat (which is absolutely amazing…) and chocolate turtle desert. I adore chocolate covered strawberries, and alwasy devour them quickly, and they offer to replenish the strawberries each time. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. There’
