Decent food, but reminds of playing 3 card monte: I’ll play but I know I’ll lose ’cause I’m stupid…20 bux for a triple decker sandwich made me wince just reading it. I did like all of the pictures of sandwiches on the walls. Maybe if they go out of business I can by one for nostalgic purposes…”remember when I had that sandwich with three slices of bread?!?!? Oh man, those were the days.”Pros + Many booths, servers with experience. Pictures of meat on the wallsCons – Inflated prices and no parking – and Jinro cocktails.

I’ve def hit up my fair share of diners at 1am after an exciting night. This is now one of my favs in LA. I went with one of my roomies after an art show and we were a little skeptical of our choice when we first walked in. We became downright frightened when we saw “pickled tongue” on the menu. But, we are strong women, not willing to give in to pickled tongue fears, so we went ahead and took a seat. Our server was friendly and patient (the menu is freakin ginormous). I went with a grilled cheese with bacon and fries. My roomie stuck with pickles and water because everything looked so good to her she was afraid of eating herself into a coma, and there’s no way I was going to roll her out of that place and back to the car. The food was delicious and we were both satisfied with our experience. We were particularly amused with the ceiling tiles having just come from an art show. We were there before last call at the bars, so we didn’t have a wait before we were seated and it didn’t t

If you’re looking for a mound of hand cut pastrami, go someplace like Art’s or Canter’s, but if you like thinly shaved — and moist — pastrami, get in line! The fries are thick and crispy, and the meat is actually better than some of the traditional delis in the area. The best is that you aren’t paying 12 bucks to get a mound of dried beef between two pieces of rye-flavored parchment. This is a moist beefy sammy that you can use the roll as a napkin, and mop the meat juice from your face as you take a bite.

I have a tough time deciding what to eat, particularly when a menu is pages long and offers such a broad variety of choices as it does at Nate ‘n Al’s – traditional deli fare, breakfast all day, salads, etc. I’ve been here a couple times and the eclectic, efficient, super friendly waitresses have never let me down. “You’re deciding between the tuna melt and white fish? Go with the tuna melt. A couple customers have mentioned that the white fish is on the fatty side today.” Where else do you get that type of honesty? In addition, the food is inexpensive, the place is homey, and the portions are so large that the leftovers often make a full meal in and of themselves. Pros + Unpretentious in the middle of Beverly Hills, quality food, honest serviceCons – Too many choices

Cute little place for coffee or for lunch right off w. Sunset. The people who work there are very friendly and accomodating, and will make good suggestions on what to try. My suggestion? Try the SantaFe Chicken panini at Dialog Cafe. You will be craving it again and again…Pros + Tastes good! no attitude.Cons – not many tables
