Essential Therapy has some really good things going for it. First, it has a great store with great products. When you come in for the first time, you can expect to fill out a very professional looking form complete with a drawing of the human body allowing you to mark where you don’t want to be massaged. Once you leave the store, they have their “Tranquility room” which is just that. This, to me, has been the best part. It’s very Asian themed with raised wooden slat flooring, cozy futons with lots of pillows, dimly candlelit room, lighted aquariums and great Asian themed music. It’s beautiful, cozy, and VERY relaxing. Sounds great so far, huh? The problem that I have had with Essential Therapy is that I’ve had 3 different masseurs and they ALL talked throughout nearly my entire massage. One talked about how far her commute was, one talked about wanting a new job, and I forget what the other talked about, but she talked. When I go for my massage, I want to relax and the ONLY t

We called an made reservations to have a couple’s massage. We had a small problem finding it at first. HINT:Don’t park out front. There is AMPLE parking on the side but if not looking you won’t see it. We headed inside; the therapists were waiting on the steps for us. They guided us upstairs. She told us before we entered that they were remodeling so “bear with us.” We stepped into the lobby and it was like stepping into a totally different building. She made small talk as she led us to the changing room. She gave us instructions, left us to undress and lock away our belongings. After we changed, we made our way into the sitting room where they asked us what we would like to drink: Organic juices, wine, or champagne. They left us there for a few minutes to talk. The massage therapists came in and led us to the room were we would get our massages. It was a cozy small room (but not tiny) with two heated massage tables. They gave us their names and told us which table each one would be at

My wife and I stayed here for her birthday in 2009 while visiting a friend for a long weekend. When we first arrived to the hotel, it was quite impressive. The central lobby is awe-inspiring, ornate and grandiose: a wonderful space. We checked into our room, and it was in the basement, which was fine. The room was nice and…

Went to Blue River Canyon a few weeks ago to treat myself after a promotion. I have been to MANY high end day spas in the US due to job travel- This was in my top 2 favorite spa experiences. The prices are a bit higher than other area spas- but the added $5- 10 is worth the extra effort that the professionals put into their work- you can tell that they really care about making sure the client has an unforgettable experience. I received a wonderful facial from Kathy Spears who had a very relaxing touch and my skin looked 5 years younger afterward! Very knowledgeable! After my facial, I was ready for my massage! The heated table and relaxing music are instantly calming- Kelly Croft was my Massage therapist and she had the perfect combination of firm/ deep pressure in the areas that needed it and a deeply calming flow. I can honestly say this is the BEST massage I have ever had (I have been getting regular massage for 8 years)! Perfect flow and pressure, a natural talent. They also hav
