Where is the Best Date Spot in Nashville, Tennessee?
My wife and I love this place. We eat here seven or eight times per year, and we always show it off when family or friends come into town. It’s not inexpensive, but it is fairly reasonable. For two people ordering a bottle of wine, two entrees, and an appetizer, you can expect to spend 100 bucks. That being said, the food is always awesome. The menu has plenty of classic options, and the nightly specials are truly special. They put together some amazing seafood and pasta. The only drawback (why I rated this a 4 instead of a 5) is that some of the tables are way too close together. If your seats happen to fall along the wall with the long bench (I believe it is the east wall), you can expect to be listening to the conversations of the next table. It is very annoying. You can reach over and steal their bread and listen to every word of their conversation. The other tables are much more mangeable. Besides that one aspect, the atmosphere is really quaint. Last night was my first time eating at Park Cafe. I immediately appreciated the restaurants popularity because of the busy waiting area and bar. The restaurant is in a house and this causes it to feel cozy. The lighting is darker than most restaurants and helped create a romantic atmosphere. The hostess was extremely friendly and sincere. The waitor promptly asked what we wanted to drink, and then told us the nights specials. The waitor service could not have been better (which is why he received a 25% tip). The waitor ensured we had what we wanted and kept the drinks full, but he did not get bothersome as they do at some restaurants. The food was simply delicious, and presented beautifully. The mongolian beef was extremely well seasoned and just the right size portion for an appetizer. The shrimp and risotto entree is a great choice and again, the right size (not enough for three people like entree’s are at some restaurants). My date and I split an order of the famous Green Chile Maca
Went here for lunch with my husband, we ordered the coconut shrimp and prime rib. while the food was promptly delivered, and the shrimp were amazing, the prime rib was a great cut but not the rural-herb-encrusted seared that my husband likes. it was sent back and an apologetic waitress filled his plate with ribeye. It was a valiant effort to correct the situation, just a little too late. The ribeye was fatty and overcooked slightly. We left thinking that it would be the last time. We went back again tonite with his parents. The waiter remembered us from the other day, and immediately brought out a free 10$ fantastic appetizer. The rest of the meal was so well-timed and pleasant, the owner even came out to ask if this was better. The quality of the food was really the best I’ve had in a restaurant. If we ever come back to Nashville, even to visit We’ll eat here again. They bent over backwards to see that our experience was the best. Go Ellendale’s!!Pros + friendly night staff, coz
