Where is the Best Date Spot in Nashville, Tennessee?

If you are going out any day of the week for a quick bite, this elegant little restaurant is ideal. The food is always consistent and the fish special is almost always to die for. The pricing is completely reasonable from everything from the apps to the entrees. However, the service is absolutely atrocious. Where did these people come from? Upon entrance, my wife and I were snapped at by the hostess, after she had ignored our presence for approximately 5 minutes. I am terribly sorry to have inconvienced this girl to do her job. After giving her the benefit of the doubt and pleading our case, she snapped again quite rudely that they were on a wait. On a Friday or Saturday night, that is to be expected for a place that is quality, however, we were quite offended at this girl’s manners. Talking to patrons like infants is NOT good customer service. After waiting patiently, we were seated. Thank you very much rude little hostess. However, the food almost made up for her behavior, almost…i

Maybe it was the strange location (former insurance office) or the dark black and wine exterior, but there was nothing about Tayst’s nondescript building that enticed me to visit. I’m sorry that it has taken me four years.Tayst was a very pleasant surprise featuring excellent service, intriguing tasty menu choices featuring local produce and an outstanding wine menu. As we all know there are a lot of little things that can make or break a restaurant experience and Tayst was no exception. After being seat next to the air conditioner vent, we requested a new table. The waiter pleasantly moved us to our table of choice with a smile and an apology. Our water Mateo was knowledgeable and attentive but not to the point of annoying. Staff seemed willing and able to do whatever they could to make your dining experience pleasant.Food was expertly paced. I never felt rushed or was waiting. We started with the beignets and crawfish. Excellent! We then followed with salads followed by two main

I LOVE the food at the MP and have had many wonderful, romantic, fun meals there, however I have noticed on my last couple of visits that the service has declined and the portions seem to have gotten alot smaller, especially on the chocolate course. The thing that really gripes me though is that they do seem to have an arrogance that is really not warranted and is quite a turnoff as a customer. On one recent trip, I took my son and his girlfriend to dinner after prom and upon seating us, we were told that adults with prom students weren’t allowed to order alcoholic beverages in fear that they would pass the beverages to the kids. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of! So, let me get this straight, I can walk in with the same kids when they are NOT DRESSED IN PROM CLOTHES and they will serve me a glass of wine, but because the kids are in prom clothes, they won’t serve me?? SERIOUSLY?? As a parent, I appreciate the their concern, but it’s MY JOB to make sure my kids are

Wife and I went for a special dinner. Food was very good. Both she and I got the five course meal. Soups were good. The chicken soup with leaks and shitaki mushrooms was the best version I have ever had, wonderful dark meat based broth. Next appetizers, escargot was o.k. and crab cake was unremarkable (I’ve had so many wonderful versions up and down the atlantic coast its hard to measure up). Salads were quite good, caesar and heart of palm. For entrees I had the “signature dish” of lamb which was absolutely wonderful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are at all a lamb fan or want to become one. Wife had beef tenderloin which was very good. Dessert, creme brule, which had a overwhelmingly strong citrus flavor to it along with a wonderful bananas foster (Again, too many wonderful versions in New Orleans, USVI and around the country to to measure up to). Overall, a very good dining experience especially for the money. High points were the entrees and chicken soup (I swear it was some

I’ve eaten here a few times: a couple at the old location, and a couple at the new one. At the old location, it won Best of Nashville for “Restaurant with a View”, now it’s tucked next to overflow parking for downtown events. Coming from the northeast where Italian food abounds, I was never blown away by the food. I mean, it’s good. It’s just not what you’d want for a last meal on deathrow. The last time I went (at the new location), I was uninspired. The food was (again) just OK, but this time they had to raise the prices to cover the move to the new location. Needless to say, it wasn’t that great to begin with, and was overpriced at the old location. This is a bit sad, given that there really aren’t many non-franchise Italian restaurants in Nashville, and just about all of them are merely acceptable in the food dept, and in that regard, they’re usually inconsistent. Sadly, I’ve taken to eating at the upper-end franchises, as the food is always good (if not terribl
