Where is the Best Date Spot in Cleveland, Ohio?
We ate at Mallorca in April. Overall, we liked it very much. The salad with house dressing was very good, and we liked the crusty bread. We all ordered from the specials rather than getting regular menu items. The veal chop stuffed with seafood was outstanding, tender and delicious. The broiled lobster tail which accompanied it was dry and boring….
We haven’t been to Metropolitan in some time. Our last experience was not bad but completely unmemorable. Food.whatever, drinks.fine.service.same same. Decor..bring.music.typical. But we were very pleased with our most current visit. The new chef has a good following and they have a good rep currently for martinis so 4 of us went on a pretty wintery nite a week ago.I usually don’t do foo foo drinks but the blackberry with foam was really great. My wife had the cosmo and it was as perfect as a cosmo could be. Our guests were vodka drinkers and happy with theirs. I liked the wine list but the variety needed something besides California to go with what looked a whole new menu style for dinner. She had Thai beef which was perfectly spicy and fun, we shared mussels, tasty as well, and we ate a mushroom pizza with grapes.
