Where is the Best Date Spot in Baltimore, Maryland?
Whether you are having the buffet, a full dinner or drinks at the bar, Windows is the place to go. The food is exceptional with a fine variety. From seafood, steaks, chicken or vegetarian, you will find something you will enjoy eating. The atmosphere is cordial (not too friendly) and comfortable with a great view (especially from the bar. If you go at lunch during the week, you will need about 15 to 20 minutes extra over the traditional lunch hour. Windows is a very popular location.Pros + Good food, service, view and atmosphereCons – Good thinks usually cost more and Windows is not exception; however, it is worth it.
I was sent to the Belvedere Hotel for atmosphere and pizza. I ordered the thin sliced pizza and must mention that the flavor was average even though the claim was the best in town! However, I did meet a friendly bartender that pointed out some other spots for me to visit in the same evening and poured a nice glass of K-One and tonic for me. The crowd was not that great since it was a tuesday evening, but the bar itself stood on its own as part of the history in downtown Baltimore. i would recommend a visit and drink…perhaps a way to end or start an evening. Enjoy the stained glass above the bar and exposed brick!Pros + AtmosphereCons – Hyping the pizza as the best in town.
Easy to find, plenty of street and paid lot parking available. We were seated promptly and staff was friendly and attentive – food was mistakenly put on our table that we didnt order, and one item that we had ordered was sold out and we werent notified until about 20 minutes after we ordered it. The food was very tasty and they did have a good selection for all tastes. The tables were too tiny to fit the drinks and plates on, they were mear inches from each other, you were practically touching the stranger next to you not to mention it was loud and intrusive – not exactly a romantic date setting. There was not even room for the most petite woman to get to and from her seat without moving the tables. I found it to be a bit too expensive for the over all experience.Pros + good food, friendly staff, ample parkingCons – tables too small , tables too close , price
Wow, the ambiance is fantastic, very secluded tables, very dark and intimate; a great date place! The cheese fondue (served first as an appetizer) is the best part, food-wise; many choices, all de-lish, and best price for the quality. The main course is a little too much for many people, as you are served RAW meat and veggies. It’s one thing to watch a professional cook chicken in front of you, but it’s another to let people handle it themselves—ick, salmonell city! We got sweet fondue at the end, and it was nothing special…too sweet almost, but a great selection of dipping items. FANTASTIC wine selection! Melting Po is also in Columbia (near the mall) and Annapolis.Pros + VERY romantic, classy, great winesCons – Served RAW MEAT, very expensive dinner/dessert
