Don’t miss eating at the Landmark Restaurant located inside the enchanting Melrose Hotel. While the Hotel is indeed breathtaking and charming, the restaurant will leave you speechless. The chef prepared everything just as we had ordered. The smells were delightful and the flavors were delectable. He couldn’t have possibly placed more care and detail into the tastes and presentation of his dishes. He is brilliant! The service was also unrivaled. Our waiter was engaging, thoughtful, and completely devoted to us. He did have other tables, but you would have never known that he wasn’t our very own personal waiter. We never had to wait for anything. He always knew exactly what we would need and when. He was knowledgeable of the dishes and ingredients. We were pleased with all of his recommendations. The timing of it all was perfect. We were never rushed and it never felt slow. The atmosphere was romantic and relaxing. I could have sat their all evening with a great bottle of wine. This rest

Last time I saw this hotel, I was a student at SMU and it was a run down dump. But wow, what a difference a few years make. My wife and I gave it a try for our 2nd anniversary and I was not disappointed. You walk in and are greeted by a very friendly staff immediately, and the receptionist promptly upgraded us to the luxury suite upon checkin. Downside though, there is no parking so you have to use valet (I think $18 a night when I stayed there). The room was immaculate with a modern decor, yet very spaceous with an excellent use of natural light from the windows. However when we closed the curtains, it was hard to tell if it was daytime or nightime, so you can create the environment you want. The restaurant was also well quaffed with great food. The pool and the hot tub was the finest I’ve seen at a 4 star establishment, hands down. It was on the roof of the second floor in open air, creating just the perfect lounging environment, very romantic setting. An added cherry was the full sp

My family recently stayed during the Anime convention there at the Sheraton. I’m sure if we had stayed during a non-convention weekend it would have been better. But this is a review of my experience there. Rooms: They were nice, clean, not even a smudge on the glass. The beds were comfortable, and the pillows were soft. They had a coffee maker in room with starbucks coffee. The toilet was a little scary, whenever you flush it, it sounds like it’s going to eat you. If you go in the middle of the night, it’ll even wake up your room mates. The walls were paper thin, and we could hear the t.v. and the conversation in the next room. Policy & Staff: The staff was courteous, and willing to help with everything, including directions. But their policies leave much to be desired. They don’t nickel and dime you, they dollar you and charge you. $25 a day each for a refrigerator, and a microwave. $15 a day for internet, $15 a day for parking, and 50 cents for each phone call, and that’s for local
