Although I have not spent the evening at the Ritz yet, I did have a sneak peek a couple weeks ago before it opened. Here’s a small look at what you can expect, and I’m pretty sure you will not be left disappointed. From the modern fixtures and no detail left undone, it is the only property in Charlotte that can actually provide luxury. From the moment you walk in the lobby you feel welcome and like you are a wanted there. The dining room and bar area are combined almost in a free flowing, but defined space. This place could really bring the whole nightlife at hotels to fruition here in Charlotte, like bigger cities such as Atlanta and New York have done. The ball rooms and meeting areas are pretty wild. This is a brand new Aloft, just opened at the end of October, and really is a great place to stay. The location is very convenient to everything in south Charlotte, the rooms and amenities are all top notch and brand new, and the staff there was very warm, friendly, and helpful. My only complaint was that the internet speed was pretty choppy, sometimes dropping while I was trying to work. I chalked this up to the place being open for about week, so I’m sure they’re still tweaking the web access. I hope to be able to stay here again sometime soon, and would absolutely recommend this Aloft to anyone looking for a cool, convenient, new, fresh place to stay in Charlotte.
