Where is the Best Comfy Hotel Bed in Boston, Massachusetts?
This hotel is very nice, it has a great location off Boston common, near pubs and restaurants, very close. You can easily walk to to major Boston tourist attractions or just hang close by and do a good amount on a low key day.The rooms are super clean and are cleaned well daily but they are not very big. There is a “cigar bar” /lounge on the first floor that is very old and not very cool. It is also a block from the Orpheum which has good bands and a great pub basically around the cornerPros + locationCons – a tiny bit too aged,
I stayed at the Ritz Boston Common for my first anniversary. All I had to do was tell them that, and they took it from there. We had a room on the 12th floor – the club floor. Because of our anniversary, they gave us huge dark chocolate-covered strawberries and a handwritten card. This card was amazing – full of thought, a full paragraph wishing us a great anniversary. The Club Lounge was amazing: very tasty asian fusion, desserts, drinks, all included. Five different meals from breakfast to after-dinner chocolates and cordials… need I say more? Well I will – when the concierge found out it was our anniversary, he opened a bottle of champagne for us … on the house! When we returned to our room, there were rose petals all over the bed and bathtub. We made good use of it. Believe me – an unbelievable experience!Pros + Amazing service, Great food
Have stayed here several times, two most recent stays were dramatic improvements over years past. If you want luxury and good value I recommend this over the four seasons, the rooms are much bigger for the same price. For example, we got a suite (separate bedroom) with an incredible view for about$600, same size room at four seasons goes for over $800. Bathroom a bit small but worth the trade off for the bigger living area. How much time do you spend in the bathroom anyway? Service was great, location can’t be beat (I’m from Boston so I know my way around).
Stayed at the Charles for one evening in early July and was very impressed with the attentive service, very modern amenities (flat panel TV in bathroom, nice soaps, Bose stereos, etc.) and the first rate location in Cambridge…we walked out our door and ran along the Charles River, walked up to Harvard Square, and had countless options for shopping and…
