Where is the Best Comfort Food in Dallas, Texas?

If you are looking for great comfort food you’ve come to the right place. It’s a casual and friendly atmosphere; great place for kids!!!! The food is fresh, hot, and very good. Choose between the fried chicken or chicken fried steak, you can’t go wrong. A good selection of veggies and hot rolls with honey are a perfect compliment. Leave room for the cobbler! Only drawback I see is that you have to wait on yourself, but that is a small thing. If you don’t want to eat there you can take it home and tell people you made it yourself. Give it a try, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

We went here to celebrate my nephew’s recent return from Iraq & they made us feel right at home. It was 13 of us & unlike so many other restaurants, they did not add their own tip in the bill and even asked us if we were paying one check or seperate checks.-They did not freak out when the 2 year old started getting restless & kept wanting to wonder around..Our waitress even helped us catch the little one. The BOTTOM LINE>-On a date or just to eat good Italian food, just go!!!- You will really enjoy it. Pros + Good food & helpful waiters-Whether with a date or the spouse & kidsCons – The lasagna had too much ??chili?? powder & kinda upset my stomach

Hector’s is a classic restaurant – good food, friendly service, and an entertaining atmosphere. It is for people who want to enjoy themselves not impress others. Depending on my mood, I have enjoyed the sea bass or the hamburger. Sometimes I have a regular desert and sometimes I have the spinach salad for dessert. Its that kind of place, you can order what you want. Once my mother had the sweet potatoes as her entire entree. No one blinked an eye and she had a good time. You can tell I am a fan and I have been eating out several times a week for over thirty years. The fact that Hector comes to your table and actually cares whether you are having a good time is major.

THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME TO DALLAS AND I ACCIDENTLY FOUND D’S LAST RESORT WHILE I WAS LOOKING FOR TGI FRIDAYS. MY FRIEND HAD TOLD ME ABOUT IT BUT I DIDNT KNOW IF I WAS GOING TO BE ABLE TO FIND IT ON MY OWN. BUT I DID AND I’M GLAD. ME AND MY TWO BEST FRIENDS CAME TO DALLAS FOR A GIRLS BIRTHDAY GETAWAY WEEKEND. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT IT WAS A CASUAL FUN ATMOSPHERE. OUR WAITRESS WAS GREAT SHE ASKED WHERE WE WERE FROM AND EVEN INTRODUCED US TO ANOTHER GROUP THAT WAS VISITING FROM THE SAME STATE WE’RE FROM. SHE ALSO HELPED US SEARCH FOR NIGHT CLUBS IN THE AREA SINCE WE WEREN’T FROM THERE. WE ORDERED DRINKS AND THEY ARRIVED WITHIN MINUTES OF US ORDERING THEM. THE MENU DIDNT HAVE MANY SELECTIONS BUT WHAT DID CATCH MY EYE WAS ON THE APPITIZER MENU. IT WAS THE CRAB SPHERES. OH MY GOSH THEY WERE SO DELICIOUS. AFTER ORDERING OUR MEAL IT TOOK APPROX. 10 MINUTES FROM THE TIME WE ORDER FOR US TO GET OUR MEAL. EVERYTHING WE ORDERED WAS HOT AND DELICIOUS. WHEN IT WAS TIME FOR US TO GO WE ASKED FOR

I’ve been dining at Celebration for over 30 years, back to my college days when I was so poor I could only afford the vegetable plate and just ate the biscuits & honey for dessert. I moved from Dallas 22 years ago but still go back to Celebration anytime I’m in town, and have taken literally hundreds of students & friends there. No one has been disappointed. The food is simply the best you will find anywhere…unpretentious, fresh, expertly prepared, and AMPLE. This is the place I learned that vegetables can be really really good! I’ve yet to have a bad entree there, but my personal favorite is the baked chicken, and my wife tends to the Chicken St. Caroline. Come hungry, because you sure won’t leave that way.Pros + EverythingCons – Sometimes crowded, and I tend to over-eat when there!
