Where is the Best College Scene in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
Living in New Jersey, I don’t get there often enough, but when I do, Bullwinkles is the first stop. The staff is friendly, the beer is cold (& cheap), & the food is outstanding! They have a prime rib/grilled cheese sandwich that is out of this world!! My associates get out there every couple of years, and the staff welcomes them by name as they enter. Ya gotta love a place like that. Bullwinkles is the BEST.Pros + atmosphere, value, friendly serviceCons – too far from Jersey
not to be on the rude side but when you run up a huge tab in comparisson to the other patrons of this place and you tip big. you dont even get a thank you. the wait staff even tries to defend the other staff by saying you are wrong. they must have done it. I was there with several friends and they all agreed that it was quite rude. The wild onion had staff that accuses people of being something they are not. The barttenders before the night crew were much more courteous and friendly. Mr. Mike on a power trip needs to get schooled on how to be a manager.basic google search came up with, tcrestaurantguide and stpaulhappyhour both agreed with me.Also check out the thrifty hipster for more info.Summary….The wild onion needs help. and there staff is so arrogant that they cant see past themselves and what they are doing to the regular businees that they had. yeah…HAD!!!Itheone no longer regular. I WAS TREATED badly!!!!!!!! Pros + food, drinksCons – staff, prices
I’ve been several times and so far I haven’t tried anything there that I would bother to pay $9 to try again. The food is standard for burgers, everything else is bland and boring. The downstairs level has the worst lite beer on tap I have EVER tasted! Service to get drinks is very slow. The music’s okay if you like pop, but I think I’ve seen some of the worst dancers in my life dancing to it. The foosball table is dirty and there aren’t enough darts for more than one group to play. I’m still waiting to see some hot guys there.Pros + pop music, beer specialsCons – slow bar service, bad food
The fish fry here is the best I have ever had. The fish melts in your mouth and the waffle fries with chicken tortellin salad are very yummy. It is a lot of food, so plan on taking some home unless you have a very large appetite. Unfortunately the fish fry is about the only thing on the menu that is worth ordering. The service is very slow and b/c it is next to the U of M, there are lots of jocks there (pretty obvious to expect it).Pros + lots of food, yummy fish fry, inexpensiveCons – service is slow, rest of food okay
Six of us ended up at Senser’s Saturday 1/20/07 for dinner. We arrived around 6.30. We expected to wait a bit and that was fine however when we were seated…they sat us in a way back corner on a folding table and folding metal chairs. We ordered drinks and asked the waitress to come back since we wanted to order an appetizer. Well she did not come back for a 1/2 hour or more. When we finally ordered them we ordered our meals at that time. It took 45min. to get wings! Then we ordered water to have with the wings and we had to remind the waitress to get that for us. One of us got up two times to talk to a manager about our service. Then finally our food arrives. Yep its cold! By the time we got it we were so hungry and irritated we just ate it. While eating our dinners one of us found hair in the food. So as you can see we had a VERY bad experiance at Joe Senser’s. The management really needs to learn what the word customer service means. They did give me my meal for free and
