So I used to eat here on a weekly basis….every Sunday night I would usually get the Sweet and Sour Chicken which is great or as the drunk girl sitting next to me one night said to the host ” It’s the whitest chicken I’ve ever seen.” I think they have good basics and their Iron Hot and Spicey Chicken is great, but be prepared to get a stomachache once and a while. I would say 1 out 4 meals here result in a stomach ache, but the food is so good, espeically in the late hours, that you just can’t help yourself. So dine in or take out, but beware of the evil tasty treats…..so good. Pros + Food, Open Late, TeaCons – Stomach Aches

I love Perry’s because it’s right in the middle of campus, and even though they sell liqour there, they’re one of the only places to hang out on campus that you don’t have to be 21 to step foot in the door! A lot of places around here are like that and it’s unfair to those “underagers” who just want to get out of the house (or apartment/dorm) and be among friends. Perry’s has great pizza, the calzones are excellent and I LOVE the chicken sandwich, their pita bread is amazing! They have a couple of pool tables, a jukebox and some arcade games, and a friendly staff! It’s newly remodelled and looks great! It’s my favorite place to go on the U of M campus – THANKS PERRY’S!

I don’t like those corporate chain bars. They are so predictable and boring. Preston’s is one of those unique places you can consider a real find. I don’t mind waiting a while for service on the patio. As a former server I understand that the walk in and out for the server slows things down a bit. I just like to have a good time in a non corporate environment. The fishbowls taste good and the drinks are strong, not those weak watered down kind they serve most places. I always have a good time at Preston’s.

Well, if you’re in the 21-25 year old range, this is the bar for you. College kids and alumni hang out, play pool and drink, drink, drink! Very crowded on the weekends.Pros + Great happy hourCons – very young scene

I have been here about 5 times. Twice in the dinner area and three times in the bar. The food is good, but the real reason to go is for the atmosphere in the bar (which is loud and usually fun). Sludge and Lake are occasionally in the bar doing their radio program, which provides extra entertainment. The TV’s are huge and the bar is set up well and has many house specialites. The main rooms don’t have any TV’s which is dissapointing for a place the is more of a sports bar then a restaurant. Long story short…skip everything else and enjoy the bar and the great atmosphere!Pros + bar, TV’s, drinksCons – sit down area
